    Only three....?

If your anywhere near SD California I'll go see it with you a 4th time. It would be fun going with people that I know and talk to and discuss about stuff with.

You can say that again! If I was anywhere close to SD I would take you up on that because I currently find myself in a hardcore star wars fan desert, few and far between. People around here are generally are not into it which sucks. But thanks for the invite anyway!

Yep, I think 124 or so should be right in that sweet spot, a "Goldie Locks" running time if you will... not too long, not too short... Just right..

In case you guys missed my guide to choosing theaters... check the following link out. It will help you locate any premium theaters which might be within driving distance (links included in the guide), & I ranked theater types by quality. I would highly recommend browsing this before you pre-order your tickets on the 19th. I'll re-post this a few times before the 19th if it's fine with the moderators.

Some very drastic changes in projection technology are happened just this year, and it might be easy to miss a fantastic theater in your area. I live in Chicago... the best projector in my area is out in the sticks... so you may be surprised what's nearby. The guide also details which projectors might be 70mm in your area.

    Here's the guide:

    Doesn't help me much...
There isn't an Imax screen within 10 hours drive of here... the last one went out of business and was converted into a more standard cinema
There isn't even a cinema with Dolby Atmos around either.
Cinema's here are pretty slow at adopting new tech.

Oh cool! If you can afford a flight to NZ Peter Jackson's theater in Wellington is supposed to be pretty killer... Are you near Sydney?

Xmas at my house allows Star Wars.
Unfortunately a Michael Jackson Xmas has not been allowed. I just want to cook duck in the fires of Mustafar, and bathe my family in the gravy worthy juices of MJ'S master platinum tracks.

This may seem sad to you, but my first world problem (as of vii being anounced) is I'm old, and miss the old cinema's. Just saying I would trade my huge screen or imax only options to sit in a smaller theatre for this one. I've cried at the demolition of many local venues, only to be replaced by oversized screens my blind @$$ can't follow. AOTC only had an imax option that almost gave me a seizure.

No. About 10 hours North, near Brisbane. Can still get direct flights to NZ though...
But that's more money (and time) than I would like to spend.

That's actually funny... because here, most of the old cinemas that haven't got closed, have been converted with extra screens, i.e. the screens have gotten smaller.

The only IMAX movie I've ever seen was a butter fly documentary type of thing. It was cool for the effect of feeling like I was flying. Hard to imagine seeing a regular scene in a room with two actors and dialogue. What does it look like? That type of shot I mean?

I wear glasses. Documentaries are great in imax. AOTC is hard. Any sci-fi is hard. Even the new big screens can be hard. I tried one 3D movie on the big screen (Prometheus)...too much. I grew up going every week to a movie. There are no regular screens left where I live (minus indy and retro films) to watch new releases. I'm very jealous of someone complaining about no imax, as they might be jealous of my complaint. I'm still going to try for opening night, but will be equally pleased with my at home viewing. Must admit though: first saw ROTS on a $5 bootleg off the street(before cinematic release), but was blown away in the cinema. (I want my cake and to eat it too)
