Actually, I found and read a first draft of Looper written by Rian Johnson himself, and it's VERY similar in various aspects to the one of the leaked "fake" script of TLJ.

You can check for yourself here: http://www.alchemergy.net/articles/Looper.pdf .

For example if you look at the script for Looper, the format of the SCENE-HEADINGS is almost identical to the one in the leaked script.....

And for the fanfiction.net thing, I've read that the pdf was on scribd al least one week before the fanfiction.net entry.

In conclusion: what are the chances someone wrote a 138 pages detailed fan fiction and getting the title correct at the same time?? I would say that the chances are slim to none. I tend now to believe that the leaked script is a real leak of the first draft of the script. I believe also that many changes have surely happened with the rewriting, but many many things including the important and "iconic" ones have remained, and will remain, the same. I do really hope to be wrong however....

The format looks identical because this is the standard format of screenwriting. The most screenwriting softwares are using this format (Celtx, Fade-In, Final Draft and so on). Rian Johnson used Fade-In for EPVIII btw.

The two things, which doesn't fit with Johnson's writing are the dialogue and the overall scene descriptions. The scene descriptions of this fake script looks nothing like a real screenplay. And the dialogue is just bad. Yes, Johnson isn't the greatest dialogue creator, but he wouldn't write that bad.

Why do these fake leakers always put such an emphasis on what has recently been rumored? It just makes it even more unbelievable.

I was just thinking that I had said this, and...yeah, that really itched that scratch for me. Knowing the title will keep my frothing at the mouth subsided for a few months now. I am one with the force...

They literally just used the latest MSW rumor podcast in their in fan fiction. "They dress up like the FO officers in the teaser yous guys" Also, that's way too much blast for a 'teaser' you idiot writer. lol No Luke (main mentor) and no Rey (main character) and no Kylo Ren (main villain) appearing in your world either.

Fake from another ass tale telling dope.

Out of millions of people no one could guess it? Before TFA came out some one guessed that one two years before. So it's not slim to none at all.

ANH: opens with a bit of an action scene, as short as it was, still leads to an introduction of Vader, Leia, and the droids - all key players.
ESB: opens with a bit of an action scene, as short as it was, it leads into a 'catch-me-up' with Luke sidelined, we meet Han, Leia, Chewy, the droids again.
ROTJ: no action opening. we meet Vader, the Emperor (in the flesh!) and later, the droids/Luke at Jabba's.

TPM: opens with an explosion, before we meet Obi/Qui-Gonn and then an actual action scene - we meet the Separatists..
ATOC: opens with another explosion, an assassination attempt on Padme (wiith one of the droids), which kickstarts the events of that film and its whole first Act.
ROTS: opens with a big chaotic space battle, Obi/Anakin focused on.

TFA: opens with Poe and LST, then a big action scene involving Kylo.
    TLJ: ???

well, we all know every SW film opens with a ship... so while yes, i've avoided saying that specifically (kinda redundant) it does actually require that - counter to whats been said by Johnson and others' - that TLJ wont actually followup from TFA like we might think. yes, they've done away with a time-skip between episodes.. but i think thats less important than the Ship Opening, which will be honoured (imho). so who's ship? maybe im wrong and Kylo/KoR really are going to be on their way to Ach-To? then we followup with the scene from TFA, continuing on from their. it does logically 'rhyme' with whats come before - ie: space shot, see familiar characters, big action scene... but i suppose theres any number of ways to keep them rhymes going.

PS: JJ really did write RJ into hole with that ending. if i were RJ i'd be royally annoyed with that.

I would actually be pretty excited if that were the trailer. It would be pretty strange to not show the characters with arguably the most "hype" but I could see that happening.

For some reason I also really like the "Everything will die with us" line.

Not JUST guessing the title but guessing the title AND writing a 138 pages complete script along with it! How many others similar cases have you ever seen or heard? How many complete detailed fanfic script of Episode 7 with the title The Force Awakens were written before the official title annunciation? Moreover in my personal opinion the title "The Last Jedi" was NOT easy to guess: it's the first title that break all the rules of the previous episodes... The girl that guessed correctly The Force Awakens in 2014 got there using some logic and the rule of the 3-words title for the First chapter of the trilogy

They aren't the only people in the world that can write a script. So what?

TFA refers to a concept, not a character. It already broke tradition.

TLJ wasn't too hard to guess given that it was a line already discussed in the movie, and said line referred to the last character we saw in TFA. It's pure fanfiction and nothing more.

TFA kind of fits in with the other two opening trilogy film titles. It doesn't repeat any words from past films most importantly.

Hindsight is 20/20. TLJ isn't hard to guess if you're already aware of the title, but it's a much more significant break with past titles than TFA was.

Also, I disagree that TFA definitely "refers to a concept" at this point. Rey hasn't been fully explained and unless you know lots of specifics and want to explain how you know them including why they should be treated as gospel, TFA might refer to a character. One played by an actor with really prominent veneers.
