i can confirm that this image is fake.. there is a zoomed out version of this graphic showing ewoks, as it's clearly a shot from ROTJ !

 

Yeah, you're right, she's a dead ringer for Carrie on Endor.

Hi Guys,

so what are your thoughts on this scene of Luke facing down Kylo Ren? I think it would be intresting to see them go at it without actually fighting. Sorry for the spelling mistakes!


Kylo Ren meets Luke Skyalker, they are about to face down. Light sabers are light, they are surrounding each other. Then, all of a sudden, Luke deactivates his sword and drops it to the ground



What are you doing? Pick it up!

I will not fight you ben.

You wont stop me. I am more powerful than you, more powerful than snoke, even more powerful than vader ever was.

And what will you do with all that power. Rule the Galaxy? Bow everyone to your will? What crime could you commit that you haven’t turned to yet.

I will kill you, old man.

You may. Me, the one after me and whoever will stand in your way. I‘ve seen this before, Ben. Good agains evil, the jedi against the sith. Bloodshed. Destruction. And you know where it ends? Death. Everybody dies. The death of the innocent, the death of friends, the death of family.



A moment of silence lingers. Kylo ren still has his light saber risen. Luke makes a step towards him.

LIAR! - he screams and tries to force blow luke of his feet which Luke does away with a wipe of two fingers and kylo ren, to his suprise, is powerfully moved two feet to the left and can not move anymore.

A man trapped into the body of Vader, caring around a prison of his own bad decisions wherever he went. A man who had lost his wife, had his children grown up with out even ever knowing of their existence. A man who died wishing he could turn it all back. He regretted it Ben, all of it. He hurt the people he once loved all throughout his life, and in the end he was a broken man in a broken body, lonesome, shattered and with a heart blackened by hatred directed at all the wrong people.

Convert you? This isnt about changing your mind. I am not trying to get you to change sides. Thats what the sith never understood. Its what the Jedi never understood. Its not about being more powerful than your master, being more powerful than the jedi or anyone else. The real power of the force comes from something as simple as turning down what could be a advantage over others.

Pause. Luke is trying to gather his thoughts to explain something very complex in a few sentences.

It doesnt matter what he‘s called. The Emperor. Snoke. There will alawys be evil as long as people enjoy living life to the extend of their own free will. Not the jedi or the sith will ever change that. Dont you understand?

Luke has come even closer and is sinking down on his knees in front of Kylo Ren.

Ben, I beg of you, please. End this. Stop the killing, turn down what snoke is asking of you and learn what it really means to feel the full power of the force. Follow your own free will. Be free of the hatred that has clogged your mind. Ask your heart what feels right for you and you alone.

He looks up at Ben.

If there is any good left in you, stop. Please. Don‘t make the same mistake Vader made. For him it truly was to late. For you, there is still so much left.

We hear a sound and suddenly Kyloe Ren is able to move again. Luke has let go of him. Kylo Ren is lowering his light saber towards Luke Skywalkers Throat.

Will you help me, Ben? - Luke says slowly

Tears are running down Kylo Rens face yet his glowing with hate and disgust.

The light saber is coming in closer towards lukes throat.

Just when Luke is feeling the first indication of pain and the flesh of his throat begins to sizzle, Kylo ren jumps back and turnes off his light saber.

Silence.

Luke gets up and puts his real hand on kylo rens shoulder who is looking to the ground while covering his hurt throat with his robotic hand.

We cut away to Rey and Chewbacca fighting.

 

That's a nice read. Maybe some parts are a little bit too long and cheesy but it's Star Wars after all. I hope/think the confrontation between Luke and Kylo is similar to this.

 

has Kylo's scar moved back a bit to the right?

That Luke and Rey cover confirms that the gloved hand touching the book in the teaser, belongs to Luke. Check out the glove Luke is wearing, it's the same as in the trailer

 

Isn't Mark Hamill just slightly bigger than Daisy Ridley? He looks huge on this cover. Kylo's scar also looks much more noticeable. Phasma without helmet confirmed?

 

they are listed at pretty much the same height... her back foot is on slightly lower ground, and front leg bent.. so i'd imagine it's just to make Luke look a tad taller.

Yeah what's with Kylo's scar? Rian made a bold statement about deciding to move it, and all of a sudden it seems to be further to the right and more prominent than what we saw in the trailer.

hmmm Phasma. She needs a pants load of more screen time to live up to the hype of her character before TFA released. I would personally like to see her without the mask in the trilogy moving forward, but i'm not sure that photo is confirmation that it will happen.

 

Nice! Although the First Order team on this cover all look like they could do with some time in the sun.

 

The funny part being the long war on "is the scar in the trailer the final scar" may continue on for generations now.

 

I think you might be on to something here...at the very least it would make a great story, one I find interesting.

 

Luke Skywalker Theory: A Depressed Luke, Warring Force Ghosts, & The Cold Jedi Philosophy

• Luke is in a very, very dark place psychologically at the beginning of The Last Jedi due to all of the trauma in his past
• Luke needs Rey just as much as Rey needs Luke
• There are significant disagreements between the force ghosts of Anakin and Obi-Wan/Yoda over how to proceed with Luke's new Jedi Order
• Obi-Wan/Yoda represent the traditional Jedi philosophy (e.g., taking force-sensitive children away from their parents and banning personal love), while Anakin wants to significantly revise this cold and compassionless philosophy
• Luke initially accepts the advice of Obi-Wan/Yoda, but then sours on them after Ben Solo turns to the dark side
• This significantly increases the influence of Anakin's force ghost over Luke, and convinces Luke to develop a new philosophy of the force distinct from the Jedi
• Luke eventually trains Rey using this new philosophy. In this sense, Luke is the "Last Jedi"
