    Hopefully this leads to a more cohesive, conclusive finale. I was disappointed to learn Rian's only request was having Artoo follow Rey to Ahch-To, as it has no significant development on the plot.

    Hopefully Episode IX is able to build on The Last Jedi in a fundamental way, crafting a story that combines the efforts of this entire trilogy.

    They can see present and future. Canon.
    Did they talk with Luke in the last 30 years? We don't Know.
    And if not we "still" don't know why.
    But... if the same episode of TCW I was talking about makes sense, they can teach, instruct etc..,
    but they cannot "interfere" with future events.
    In fact, Qui Gon shows Yoda the Order 66.
    But he does not tell Yoda what to do to prevent that event.
    He's there to tell Yoda what to do to learn how to become a force ghost after death.

    Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but I stumbled across this little factoid during my interweb wanderings... apparently someone over at JediNewsUK noticed that if you type 'Longcross Studios' into Google Maps and zoom in, east of the studio complex and just south of the M3 motorway the shell of a certain well know YT-1300 freighter is shielded from street-level view by a wall of shipping containers.

    Apparently the TLJ team were shooting at Longcross last year, so it's likely the mock-up is a remnant from the upcoming film... potentially relocated from the Greenham airbase site which doubled for the rebel base on D'Qar in TFA and is only 40-odd miles from Longcross. It's odd that while it's common knowledge that the franchise has been based out of Pinewood Studios for many of the films, there's been no mention (AFAIK) of filming at this much smaller studio site until now.

    Edit: for those as equally joyed by dull trivia as me, this means there are two Falcon's visible in the UK on Google at the moment as there's also the half-constructed shape at the previously mentioned Pinewood.

    This is the official website for the British Board of Film Classification, so I guess we can trust it (it appears as the first result in Google after typing "bbfc" into it.) Not like it tells much other than in a near future a new, 1.5-minute long trailer of The Last Jedi will be released.

    That just confirms that the next trailer when it appears will have a PG rating though I guess if they have rated it then maybe we will see this trailer sooner than expected.

    The thing is the trailer seems to be way too short. Furthermore it doesn't fit with the release schedule of the previous Star Wars movies. But I'll be happy if I'm proven wrong. Haha!

    There's also a possibility that the "new" trailer is just a shortened version of the one we saw during SW Celebration.

    It could be thought Iam not sure why they would do something like that. Has that every happened before that a film get a shooter version of a existing trailer maybe a TV version?

    There is a new trailer coming, but expecting The Last Jedi to play out a similar marketing rollercoaster as the previous two films is flawed; Disney had to advertise the return of cinematic Star Wars after a ten year hiatus, then had to prove why these anthology films exist. With The Last Jedi we're going to experience a different approach, one that must also play into the fact that after The Last Jedi releases we'll have another Star Wars film in six short months.

    Force Friday is September 1st, Disney will use the summer to build momentum heading into their fall merchandise; a second trailer should give us key looks at the Praetorian Guards, Snoke, and many other characters that will make up the Force Friday wave of figures.

    But Disney also likes to sustain hype. When we stop buzzing they will toss out meat.

    They also love to disrupt rivals. The 1st TFA teaser dropped opening weekend of Hobbit BO5A when nerds should have been worked up about Legolas breaking the laws of physics they were jonsing about TFA a year away.

    With the news of Lord and Miller leaving Han Solo, I wonder if they got a trailer together for TLJ to create a distraction from that bad news.... makes me wonder if they will drop one this week now instead of at D23 or in August for the distraction.... may explain why the trailer is shorter than the first if they got one together as quickly as possible

    That's what I'm thinking might happen, too. However, these trailers are usually rated shortly before they're unveiled, which suggests that we could possibly see this ad before the end of the month.
