    So I have taken all the known leaks or credible theories and basically quickly summarized them here putting it behind spoiler tags so people who don't want to be spoiled won't.

    Italicized AND Bold are things not fully confirmed from a credible leaker(s).
    * TROS is set a year after TLJ
    * Rey and Kylo have grown more powerful
    * Rey and Kylo re-establish a Force Bond
    * Rey and Kylo will fight twice in the movie (first time will involve the flash fight where every time Rey and Kylo clash sabers they get transported (either physically or in a force vision) to various PT, OT and ST worlds, second time is either before they team up to fight Palpatine possessed Matt Smith or who ever or when Palpatine tries to possess Kylo
    * Resistance is still quite small, but they gather allies in the fight against the FO
    * Threepio's memories get fully restored
    * Knights of Ren return from the Beyond
    * There is a Sith Fleet in the unknown regions waiting for Palpatine's return. They are loyal ONLY to Palpatine but Kylo will think they will be his fleet. They may ALSO be Clones
    * there is a Baby Spider thing called "The Oracle" who reveals to Kylo he loves Rey and gives him a Wayfinder device to locale Palpatine's Sith Fleet
    * There is at least one flash back scene involving Luke and Leia (most likely multiple)
    * There will be a conversation in a flashback between a younger Luke and Leia that will change how we view some ST characters
    * AT-TE's will be in the film
    * Leia's and Lando's roles will be small, Luke has a bigger role, but not much bigger
    *Tatooine is in the film (maybe final shot), Mustafar, Endor, Ahch-To, Yavin IV might also be in through flash fights, flashbacks or where the Death Star wreckage is.
    * Rey's heritage will be explored more
    * Kylo/Ben sort of dies, through sacrifice to stop Palpatine, could be literally dies or metaphorically. (this part is much less credible ----> Luke and Rey might save Ben from fully dying)
    * Mark Hamill and Keri Russell may have filmed scenes together, potentially for a Luke-induced flashback/vision for Rey
    * Han Solo will return through a Luke-induced vision to Kylo.
    * Jannah might be Finn's sister.
    * Palpatine's role will not be small, but be the major driving force for Kylo to be redeemed.
    * Rose's role in the film is small, equivalent to Lando's
    * Allegiant General Pryde might be a Palpatine loyalist
    * Nein Nunb's role will be bigger
    * Palpatine wants to resurrect and the Sith Fleet is instrumental for that.
    * Finn and Jannah lead the fight against the First Order's forces while Kylo teams up with Rey to fight Palpatine at the climax.

    Well, eventually, Lucas will die. Then the despecialized versions will be released officially. SAG should fight for it too. No reason to take him out of that film with AG standing with Yoda. Either swap Ewan for AG so they both are from PT or don’t.

    Just my two cents. Your point is of course 100% valid.
