A few great scenes but I think my favourite was the lightsabre fight in the snow at the end. It was like nothing we had seen before. It was really good both visually and in terms of the fights.

Best moment (of a scene) to me was when Kylo was probing her mind and she threw it back in his face. Best scene was the duel, with Rey closing her eyes and accepting the force to guide her actions and then proceeding to whup dat ass.

To me, I have never seen a movie that has 20+ clap out loud moments like TFA had.

    "Keep calm."
    "I am calm."
    "I was talking to myself."
    Finn & Poe.

There was about 20 great moments like this that the audience whooped and clapped at. (I had an exceptional crowd)

Aside from the many crowd pleasing, fun, classic Star Wars type moments, my personal holy blast moments, were-

Kylo reaching for the SABER in the snow ala Empire/Luke, and just when you think he has it, it flies PAST him to REY who summoned it. HOLY blast. And the look on her face when she lit that thing up. Wow.

The force coming over her at the cliff's edge. WOW.

The whole Han and Kylo scene was the most emotionally well done scene in all 6 films. I loved the scene of Han watching Kylo walk away from him, and you know he's thinking so many things. "There's the kid I used to love and know...he's so close yet so far away from me...that's my boy, my child." Any parent was hit hard with this scene. It was to me, epic beyond anything I can put into words. The darkness falling on Kylo...

Oh, and how f***ing badass was it when Kylo stopped that blaster bolt, and it just fricking STAYED THERE until Kylo was good and ready to release it. He walks away like "I'm done here." and the thing flies off and explodes. Amazing.

While I can truly say everyone was fantastic, Adam blew me away, completely. Kylo projected danger, intelligence, ruthlessness, humanity and pathos from the first time he spoke, even through the helmet. A+++

The Han/Kylo scene is so good because Harrison Ford is a great actor. Also, I think when Han is saying he will do anything to help his son, its almost like he knows what is about to happen.

    Great scene.

I get the impression he's been brainwashed. I reckon some childhood cult indoctrination has him getting things a bit backward. A tool who has been misinformed, but is wisening up to things and scared things may come to an unexpected fruition?

Well, he's completed a serious rite of passage in his dark hero's journey. I still think he'll be free to go full dark Lord for a bit before a revelation causes him to regret his actions and die in an attempt to save the resistance/galaxy from oppression. Like grand vader [father] like ben [son]...

Ben brings them together and Ben rips them apart forever. :(

This is perceptive. I think Kylo knows his life is a battle between light and dark, and I think we see him wrestle and choose the dark side, but that doesn't mean he may not help prevent others from following in his path. Primed for a sacrifice.

Also, you are so right, BEN MEANS SON WHY DID I NOT THINK OF THAT EARLIER AAAGH STAR WARS.

My theater was great as well! Everyone was very engaged and really enjoyed the movie. At the credits everyone clapped and shouted. When a movie does that it's done its job lol

Yeah, imagine a troubled bully with force powers. Not good.
My theater really yelled when seeing Luke. I gotta say Mark Hamill's acting was top notch. His facial expression was all that was needed.

Yeah Mark Hamill was great, didn't say anything at all but told us what state he was in. Looked like a broken man, but Rey might just be what he needs to overcome how he's felt.

    that's awesome!

My crowd was freakishly amazing. They roared at the opening fanfare, and applauded LOUDLY every single legacy character appearance, and went ballistic at the end.

It was so fantastic. It had just the right amount of everything; some great flair and flashy moves here and there, great banter and character moments, trees chopped in half, and above all, BRUTALITY and realism. I don't like something being brutal just for the sake of it, but there were incredible stakes here, and they are fighting to the death with lightsabers, I feel like we finally got shown something that shows how many ways you can get wounded or killed by a saber, and how quickly that can happen in the duel. I LOVED Kylo pressing the cross guard blade into Finn's shoulder, and slicing him down the back. I honestly thought he killed Finn.

I love that Rey stabbed Kylo through the shoulder, sliced his face and probably severed his hand. She punished him handily for his wickedness.

I love how there was little or no music during the non-fighting dialogue parts of the duel. If you listen closely, you can even hear the falling snow hissing as it hits the blade of the saber and evaporates!

I also love that once she gave into the light side, how much powerful became and how she basically was able to overpower Kylo. Beating and basically being faster then him. And I love the look he gives her once she tears part of his cape off and his sabers is getting pushed into the ground. Its a "She is way more powerful than expected"

I also love it because once she accepts who she is, and takes the lightsaber and activates and that music starts up, I have chills every time. Its such an amazing moment.

Agreed! I wish we could see a little more emotion from Chewie once the battle was over, but it was powerful hearing him scream out at the sight of Han's death and start blasting away!!!

One question/gripe: Why was Kylo constantly hitting his side during the last lightsaber battle? Was he trying to make the pain help him connect more with the dark side?
