At first I thought you were trolling us with that tiny image, as if the truth was right there and too small to read. But after reading it I have to admit it's an interesting theory and I wouldn't considering something like this to be outside the consideration of the writers. Before the prequel trilogy came out there were many elements of the Force that were not yet introduced, including the whole "Chosen One" aspect. I think it's very possible we'll be introduced in the Sequel trilogy to some thing on this level regarding new ways the Force manifests itself.

 

this supports the "Space Jesus" idea set forth during the dark times. for that reason alone, i don't see how this could ever be a viable option.

 

If you were trying to uncover clues about the ST going forward I would completely forget about chosen ones, immaculate conceptions, midichlorians or any of that video-game-y nonsense and stop trying to find links with the prequels. Kasdan has already said when building the lore they looked at the OT as the backstory for TFA and the next two films.

The force has gone back to being a mysterious un-quantifiable entity that doesn't rely on genetic advantages like midichlorian counts and prophecy's as a way to define it like it was explained to us in the OT. Whoever Rey is I doubt you'd find many clues in anything revealed in the prequals. I hate the idea you have to be a descendant of a certain family to be able to be a 'chosen one' or to save the galaxy. It's like how a monarchy would assume the next in line son/daughter would be the best choice to rule next because they just happened to be born into a special family. I'd have no problem with her being a legacy character, but I'd be more than happy if she wasn't.

An unlikely hero, with no special genetic advantage is more endearing to me and easier to get behind

Why would the force incarnate care about bloodlines and children. This is terrible.

You gotta kill her then, right? At the end she has to go away so the cycle can seem like it's at peace before it starts again.

Otherwise the physical reincarnation of life energy is just gonna be chilling and hanging around? That's never how this works.

 

I watched that youtube video myself a few days ago, it literally gave me goosebumps. I don't know whether it is right or wrong but found it very insightful and thoughtful, also a bit ambiguous too which in my mind is a good path.

 

So she is literally just a gender bent Anakin? Terrible. Just. Terrible. Space Jesus was a bad idea as a man and will be a bad idea as a woman, changing the gender of a terrible concept won't make it good.

Hmmm, interesting. I don't neccasarily agree, but I do think it sounds pretty cool. When Rey is in the interrogation room, she tells Kylo that he will never be as strong as Darth Vader, so this might have something to it.

 

Every skill that Rey has according to this theory she could easily acquire through a simple Skywalker bloodline (the force, being Luke's daughter) and her tough life (she had to fight and scavenge to survive). And we also have seen Anakin's force ghost. So, no. Just...just...ok?

i REALLY enjoy how much detail has gone into this theory, and even parts of the theory itself. For that, kudos to you.

But there is NO WAY Star Wars could disappoint me more, than if they went in this direction.

Until now, i couldn't find a Rey theory i was COMPLETELY opposed to.
Rey being a Skywalker/Kenobi/Solo or even a descendant from palpatine, didn't really bother me. But this does

Rey being her own character helps make that character amazing. If she was some sort of "reincarnation", that makes her character less special and unique. Now, when you take away all the reincarnation stuff, the notion that Rey is "another" chosen one is something i wouldn't exactly mind, but i wouldn't want at the same time. They've been there and done that.

So no. I don't think it will happen and i don't want it to happen

 

Of course Rey is Anakin it's so obvious. There are tons of hints in the movie and absolutely non who lead to Luke ... But people want her to be Luke's child so it's not useful to argue ...

BTW, I do think Rey is the light side of Anakin and Kylo is the dark side of Anakin.

but even before the prequels in the original trilogy there were always prerequisites that determined who could and couldn't become a Jedi and since the truth was revealed in ROTJ Anakin/Vader was always referred to as the fallen chosen one of the Jedi. that is the original lore. Also all living things long ago in a galaxy far away had midichlorians within them and that they are the medium through which the force interacts with ALL living things in that galaxy. Anakin and Yoda were just noted to have unusually high counts. indicating that the higher the count the more room the force has to work it's miracles and alter probabilities. The force does not only work through The Jedi/Sith/Nightsisters/Whatever other Force sensitive factions but All living things.
