Anakin did propose that the Jedi take palpatine before a great crowd ( the Senate) and make him stand trial. Mace's responses were "HE IS TOO DANGEROUS TO BE LEFT ALIVE" and " HE OWNS THE SENATE" in my Samuel L Jackson voice lol. Also like I mentioned in a post before Palpatine was playing chest while the Jedi were playing checkers and by the time he had revealed to Anakin that he was Sidious, His tracks had already been covered. He had already placed the blame on Dooku and made him out to be the mastermind behind everything. Now whether he knew Anakin would go back and tell the Jedi Council everything is unknown but what is known and what was proven is that Palpatine was able to flip any situation in his favor. He used Mace's shortcomings and the Jedi's arrogant attempt at a hostile take over to seduce Anakin.

And where is the problem ? Are you aware of the concept in oriental spirituality.

It's common in orient that people meet back in the same family through times.

You should read more on other cultures, it's about billion people on Earth.

    Reasons for Reincarnation[edit]
Hindus provide several reasons why the jiva takes on various physical bodies:[101]

    1. To experience the fruits of one's karmas: This is the main reason for rebirth. Sattvika (good or righteous) karmas reward one with the pleasures of Svarga. Rajas (pleasure-seeking) karmas reward one with mrutyuloka (mortal realm or earth). And Tamas karmas (actions related to inertia, laziness and evil) condemn one to patala-loka.
    2. To satisfy one's desires: When a person indulges in material pleasures, he or she subsequently develops a stronger desire to enjoy more of it (Vāsanā). This unending craving to satisfy one's desires causes the jiva to assume new physical bodies.
    3. To complete one's unfinished sadhana: When an aspirant making spiritual efforts for liberation from maya dies without attaining his or her goal, the jiva gets as a natural cause-effect another human body to complete its sadhana.
    4. To fulfil a debt: When a jiva is indebted to another jiva, it gets a human birth to fulfil its debt and receive what is owed to it. The jiva comes in the form of a relative, friend or an enemy.
    5. To undergo sufferings because of a great soul's curse: A person's grave error or sin may incur the wrath or displeasure of God or a Rishi. This results in the jiva of that person getting another birth, not necessarily into a human body.
    6. To attain moksha: By the grace and compassion of God or a God-realized guru, a jiva gets a human body to purge itself of the layers of base instincts.[102]

That only happened when Windu was to strike down Sidious.
What im talking about happened before that, right when Anakin told him Sidious revealed his true self (when they were walking towards the ship) he did not propose anything. He just said he is a sith lord and he knows the dark side.
What would've Sidious done if Windu -instead of confronting him in his office like an idiot- confronted him in the Senate or in the front of his office with 50 jedi, right next to a big crowd, went towards him and easely kill him? Then just simply say he was a sith and Anakin can testify it. It was dangerous to keep him alive because he manipulated the judges and the senators, See? so easy. No need for a single ,,chosen one".

In response to the thread topic. I kinda like it. It explains Rey's sudden adeptness with the force better than her being an amnesiac padawan with only five years of training or her "downloading kylos knowledge". It would give the writers more freedom with the characters lineage and her abilities. She would not have to be an offspring of one of the original characters. This theory reminds me Aang and Korra from the avatar series. It would explain the parts of her vision that did not belong to her bespin and the Jedi academy massacre.

In a karmic way, having to witness a child slaughter is right on the point.

So you believe the Jedi striking him down in front of a great crowd of witnesses, that think extremely highly of him and then accusing the slain corpse of war crimes that had already been pinned on Count Dooku ( A sithlord/EX-JEDI/ YODAS FORMER APPRENTICE) would be accepted by the citizens and government of Coruscant? that would be like if John F. Kennedy's murderer tried to justify his actions by accusing one of the most beloved presidents in the history of th U.S.A of being a sith lord. It would not fly! and Palpatine would have let himself be killed before he would have revealed himself lol......Just to ruin the Jedi's reputation even more than he had already done.

I think you didnt get what Im trying to say. There was no need for a ,,chosen one" as Sidious could've been easely destroyed by 100s of possible ways without Anakin. And yes confronting and killing him in the front of a great crowd would defeinitely worth it. Maybe blame entirely Windu for it, I think its a perfectly reasonable price for saving the whole Rebulic and every jedi's lives. Or just simply assassinate him or something...

What Im trying to say is that the whole ,,chosen one" synopsys make really zero sense imo. Anakin was the main reason of the unbalance, he helped Sidious, prevented Windu from strking him down, and caused the great unbalance himself. Then decades later he decided to revolt against him because the suffering of his son caused his remaining light-side to win over his dark side, and definitely not because some idiot prophecy written 1000-ish years ago. He fixed the problem he caused himself (after causing excessively great damage). Thats very far from beeing a ,,chosen one"
The story would've made a lot more sense without the midichorian/prophecy/chosen one bullcrap. All those blast plotpoints were made up by Lucas to make Anakin ,,special" somehow for some inexplicable, and completly unnecessary reason.

Lets just say, Qui-gon found Anakin, a slave boy on Tatooine, he felt that the Force is unusually strong in him, so he brought him to Corscant and trained him. He wasnt a chosen one, just a regular guy with regular feelings and problems. He turned to the dark side and caused great problems. Nothing was able to turn himself back, only his son. Not because of some idiot prophecy, but because the love to his son which couldn't be ereased from him. Not even by the dark side.

To return to the topic I think the new trilogy needs to stay as far from the PT's idiotism as possible. So no chosen one, no prophecies etc.
At least in my opinion ofc.

I have one glaring omission of logic in this theory. Several actually, but the first and biggest is this:

Vader/Anakin acheived Force Ghost status. This is canonically certified to only be available to light side Force users who have acheived the Star Wars equivalent of "Enlightenment."

Enlightened souls do not reincarnate, they persist - there is no reason for them to return and "try again." Anakin's soul is a Force Ghost, standing alongside Obi-Wan's and Yoda's. He acheived his destiny, and also this enlightenment state in the end, whether we like it or not. Luke would know/sense immediately if Anakin's soul suddenly became absent when he communed with the only three Jedi souls ever to acheive full Force Ghost status. This point is either wholly forgotten, or willfully ignored/disregarded in order for the basic premise of this weird theory to even get off the ground.

Nope, the Star Wars Saga Trilogies are still, and will remain, a respinning/retelling of the classic Arthurian/Merovingian Messianic mythology of a chosen royal/divine lineage central to the fate of the world, or in this case, a galaxy.

No, Rey is in fact a Skywalker. From reading the book, it is very clear that Kylo Ren does not in fact know who she is, he just senses how strong the Force is with her. It also seems to indicate that Han Solo was one of a very select few individuals who knew of her, R2-D2 also seemingly included in that inner circle.

Think about this - it is apparent in the film that everyone is fully aware of who Supreme Leader Snoke is. Leia and Han don't blame Luke for Ben's fall to the Dark Side, they know it is Snoke who is the villain. It follows that Luke is aware of and understands who Snoke is or at least what he represents, a powerful adversary on the Dark Side, regardless of his "true" identity.

It is clear that Ben/Kylo is older than Rey (wonder what her real name is?) and it seems logical that by the time Ben was sent to Luke to train, it was already sort of a desperate act on Leia's part in a last ditch effort to save her son. Luke, knowing of Snoke and of the danger of Ben Solo by the time his daughter was born, hid her, and whoever her mother was, from everyone but a very extreme select few, in order to not only protect her, but also to deny Snoke, and his now converted minion Kylo, a chance to get at the entire lineage.

Rey (whatever her real name is) was trained in the Force by Luke as a youngling pretty much from birth. This is the reason for her exponentially accelerated and jerky, stop start leaps in Force manipulation proficiency and the seemingly sporadic manifestation of random Force powers (Jedi mind trick, telekinesis, lightsaber proficiency, etc).

It isn't because she is Anakin reincarnated, its because Luke blocked off those memories with the Force, for her own protection (plausible deniability), when the time came for her to go into hiding and him to go and seek out the answers needed to defeat this new and growing threat that is Snoke. As the Force Awakens within her due to extreme circumstance, she slowly erodes away that blockage, with her subconcious "muscle memory of the mind" breaking through first, before her concious memories of the past reemerge at some point in VIII or IX. Her Force Vision pretty much confirms prior intensive training, with both Obi-Wan and Yoda having apparently communicated with her actively in the past, most likely in Luke's presence, Obi-Wan calling her name, and Yoda lecturing her on the nature of the Force.

The scene at the end of the movie is powerful because here we are seeing that Luke comprehends that whether or not he is ready, the time has come to complete her training and take on this new/old (very old?) 'incarnation' of the Dark Side.

This story line not only ties up everything every bit as, if not better than this Anakin reincarnation theory, but it also stays consistent with everything that has come before it, and everything that LucasFilm and its representatives have been quoted as saying, and not going off on some fan fiction, weird tangent.

Finding out that Rey (what's her real name going to be?!) is IN FACT Luke's daughter with be deeply fulfilling, as Rian Johnson says, especially if we get the full details of how she ended up holding Unkar Plutt's hand on Jakku as a 5-6 year old, watching mommy and/or daddy's spaceship launch away.

I have a thought about how cool it would if Luke's first line in VIII would be Rey's real name. Something like, "XXXX, its you..." which then launches into a flashback of all Luke's dark memories of the time leading up to her being hidden away on Jakku.

And for those of you all who are saying things like, "why does everyone have to be related to each other, I say this.

It is a story about a family lineage, of course the main focus of the films are going to be on those characters that are a part of the that family. Secondly, nobody else is related to each other! Its not like Finn is Lando's son or Phasma the daughter of Palpatine's estranged wife, or Poe the product of a drunken one nighter between Mon Mothma and Admiral Ackbar. Sheesh...

I get that it is fun to speculate and stuff, that's exactly what I'm doing here myself! But these far fetched crazy theories about how Rey is Anakin's clone (technically she couldn't really be female, and wouldn't they have had to cast Hayden instead, I mean a clone is a clone, right?) or his reincarnation, or that she is somehow Kenobi's or Palpatine's granddaughter, I mean, really...let's all take a deep breath! She is either a Skywalker or she has no lineage or connection at all to anyone we've seen in any Star Wars canon to date. Those are pretty much the two options.

Really sorry for the extra long post...

No Anakin was not the main reason for the unbalance because he was still a pawn in Palpatines plan just like The Jedi, The Senate, Count Dooku, General Grievous, The Clone and the Droid armies. You are trying to minimize Paplatines role in the whole situation which is impossible. Also Yoda, Mace and the rest of the Jedi council did not even believe in the prophecy of the chosen one. Qui-gon and Obi wan were the only two who ever subscribed to that theory/ prophecy and Palpatine, being Plaugeis's former apprentice, was the only one who had tangible evidence of that theory/prophecy. This is why he told Anakin in episode one that he would keep a close eye on his career as a Jedi becuase he sensed what Anakin really was. Also the FACT that Anakin was born of the force, had a higher midichlorian count than any living being in the galaxy and fulfilled his destiny make him the Chosen One. he brought balance to the force by saving Luke and killing palpatine. Lastly the OPs theory about Rey being a reincarnation of the Chosen One would help fill in the many plot wholes and inconsistencies TFA had and the Sequel trilogy is just that a sequel.........To the Original and the Prequel Trilogy.......so everything in them is canon.

Don't get your meaning. I don't say it because it is already known? Or do you mean because he is that Rey can't or doesn't have to or shouldn't be? Because that's just too much Skywalker?

A character as central to the plot as Rey is, with the powers she has and being the primary protagonist, is going to be a Skywalker or nothing. Nothing, just a random scavenger, isn't fulfilling. Not nearly like being the granddaughter of the Chosen One, the balanser of the Force, and daughter of his son, who is generally credited with not only being the instigator enabling the Chosen One to fulfill his destiny, but also the mythical singlehanded (literally) savior of the Galaxy, twice!

The idea that you have two Skywalker cousins of the same generation now, balancing each other out, serving both as main protagonist and antagonist is in itself an exciting twist and spin on the concept. The point is that no other family line is getting this attention in the Saga films because they are films about the Skywalker lineage. KK, JJ, GL himself, they have all be quoted as saying this, and all even as recently as in the post production phase of TFA, so while it won't be a Vader Luke moment where your mind is blown, it will be a very satisfying revelation, nicely completing the puzzle, so to speak.

Actually noone can tell who is the central plot.

The funny thing is that everybody is stucked of the force ghost dogma even if noone can say anything about it but throws the jedi code in the trash because you know attachment is no big deal ... It just leads the chosen one to be one of the most evil human being of the galaxy.

I'm really asking myself if we all saw the same movies ...

And I rather not talk about the gender arguement and the "Oh no, Anakin can't love pink" thought beside this.

What I saw about Luke even if it was short was a man dressed like a jedi, acting like a master ( Yoda or Kenobi ) by being alone far from everyone. He didn't look like a dad waiting for his baby girl.

And you will to have to answer this big mystery. Why did the most powerful being of the galaxy abandonned his child to a despotic alien 5 years before his academy was destroyed ? Because Rey was left alone way before Kylo felt to the dark side ? Be creative ...

there is a likelihood that Rey isn't a Skywalker just for the sake of promulgating a hero who's destiny is in her own hands and not bound to legacy.

that is an idea that feels like it has far more currency in today's empowerment storytelling zeitgeist than a plot hinging on a "chosen one".

the legacy part of the Skywalkers is Ben for the moment. and that really could be enough.

Absolutely. And the message is good enough. The Force is everywhere, everytime it is not the property of one lineage.

This is ridiculous. Lucasfilm wants to deliver a story that the majority of people can buy into, and I'm pretty sure the majority doesn't want to see Darth Vader kissing dudes

I forgot to add to this earlier...in reincarnation, there are only a limited amount of times that someone can reincarnate. The worse you do in a previous life, the lower you start over (an insect, for example). I highly doubt Vader would be Rey because Humanity is considered the ultimate form of existence in reincarnation/Hinduism/Budhism...it's more likely that Anakin Skywalker would have reincarnated into a freaking Gundark that Rey kills on Jakku than a human...that IS IF IT even exists in the SW universe.
