    absolutely! for the first few minutes i was literally clutching the armrests out of terror at how bad it was going to suck ~ hahaha
    fortunately Poe won me over almost instantly. : D

    re: those hot dogs ~ some concession food is just a must-have no matter how bad or expensive it is!

    Can't beat a midnight premiere! Me and @ITG got to the one for RotS so early in the day (9am) the local press came down to interview us! Ha! ITG got cut.
    Yeah, we have tickets for midday the next day too for extra absorption.

    I was thrown at the start of the TFA premiere with the SW fanfare. Seemed different. Then I was expecting to see a lightsaber floating through space and realised I'd better quickly change my assumptions! Ended up hugely disappointed anyway so hoping TLJ can live up to my ridiculous expectations!

    i did the midnight premiere for TPM back in the day. i think the only other midnight premiere i have been to since then was for TDKR.
    i'm glad this won't be a midnight premiere. i'm getting to old to be out that late past my bedtime ~ hahaha
    hahahaha ~ i hope TLJ works for you. there's so much to love here!

    not entirely sure i should admit this... but the third time i saw TFA was because i was hungry and fancied a hotdog

    the first few minutes of seeing TFA for the first time was strange.. i had the weird urge to shout "wait! i'm not ready" as the film started (i didn't actually shout it)

    then i was giggling at the first scene.. i was apparently the only one who saw an umbrella go across screen above Jakku.

    well i guess i can cop to at least one or two showings of TFA for which i went because i wanted popcorn just as much as i wanted the movie! : D

    i didn't feel ready either. but you trump me on the umbrella ~ i don't know if i even understood what i was looking at in that opening moment ~ hahaha
    i know TLJ will be similar: hurry up, but slow down! wait, i'm not processing what he/she said because i'm too busy staring in awe at the screen!

    I am going to watch it Wednesday morning, after the release. No lines, less idiots, less cost. It's great. It just sucks because I have to avoid human contact for nearly a week.

    i have eaten untold buckets of popcorn at Star Wars movies.
    that ain't going to change. : D

    besides which, i'm not about to spend five hours in the movie theatre and not have ample snacks.
    it's going to be a logistical project just to figure out what to buy and what to bring and how much, etc.
