    I assume he already knows. If you watch TFA assuming he knows who Kylo is, it really paints his first conversations with him in a very different light.

    Here's the beauty of seeing lines from certain points of view.

    KR probably knew PD. He probably DIDN'T KNEW that PD was in the Resistance. Although the Resistance is a poorly guarded secret some of it's members joined in secret. Possibly PD.
