    Right, I think had he known, he would have used such intel in his interview with Kylo Ren: "Hey, Benny Boy. Lookin' good. Wearin' Grampa's hand-me-downs I see. I heard a good joke about Han Solo the other d..." Whoosh

    I wondered if he knew as well. Even being close. Leia is very secretive and when she and Han were talking about him, it was off and private like. I hope it comes up. I wondered if it was known who he was before.

    The visual dictionary says that Lor San Tekka helped Luke uncover past Jedi knowledge hidden from the Empire. Chances are he may have met Ben at the temple sometime.

    I always assumed that Poe knew. Kylo Ren's former identity did not seem a big secret. Also Luke and Leia were very close to Poe's parents, Shara Bey and Kes Dameron. They fought along side Leia and Han, and Luke gave them a force tree. Although Poe is according to my estimates about three years older than Ben, they probably often met each other when they were children. Poe also probably knew that Ben had started to train with Luke to become a Jedi and what subsequently happened to the Jedi Academy.

    Nah, he'd have referred to him as Ben to goad him or something.
    Also, wouldn't Ren have recognised Poe immediately? I don't think he did, did he?
    "I didn't realise we had the best pilot in the Resistance on board"...

    I image Poe will be surprised when he finds out but continue with his steadfast support and loyalty of General Leia.

    I have thought in the past that LST is some sort of jedi temple guardian which is how he knows about Ben .

    i don't think he would have, necessarily.
    he just watched Ren kill LST for goading him.

    i think it's possible Poe knows, but he wasn't going to admit it because that would be all the more reason for Ren to kill him.

    I agree with everything you're saying, except that Kylo Ren as Ben Solo is not a big secret. When we first meet Ren, he is recognized by another character (an old traveling companion of his uncle and an acquaintance of his parents). Not long after that Snoke reveals his identity to the audience, so that we tend to think this bit of information is more widely known even though the movie doesn't actually confirm this.

    I can imagine that with Leia being such a high profile figure that nobody doesn't know that Kylo is her son that turned into the "Bad Kid", but I could be wrong. It just seems to me that LST seemed to speak of it (without actually confirming his name to the surrounding crowd) pretty freely and had ne reservations about bringing it up...like it was general knowledge.

    that's just me. :)

    i'd also like to hope that after what happened with the reveal of Darth Vader being her father, she'd have handled this problem with her son much differently.

    it's certainly common enough knowledge in the FO.
