Ignoring the Star Wars haters

I'm pretty convinced that's how a lot of us who didn't like TLJ will come around. We'll never like it or value it as a movie, but we'll be familiar with the story and move on so we can hopefully enjoy the next trilogy.

 

It does work... it's annoying but it works haha .

Again I think it depends who you're interacting with. There are some people on here who just want to wind your gears. For those, ignoring is probably the only solution.

Others quite simply just disagree. Some people like Babylon 5, some don't, doesn't mean you don't like Sci-Fi if you don't like it. I see TLJ the same way. Some like it, some don't, but none of us hate SW, just that some don't like this installment or direction. Most of us will come to terms with it, just like we did with the PT and all the issues in there. As someone else wrote, we'll just view them as a historical document so we're familiar enough with the events to know what is going on in future installments.

 

Being totally ignorant of superhero movies and culture, I actually think BvSM was one of the more interesting superhero movies. I'm a hard man to please when it comes to superhero movies. I liked the first two Nolan Batman movies, the first Ironman and Logan and that's basically it.

 

Sorry, was trying to sound funny and not noticed I was being a little brat.

 

Amen. I was so messed up after The Phantom Menace. I just kept clinging to Maul vs Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon and the Dual of the Fates music track. Once all of the Prequels were released, my shock had worn off and I could enjoy them all for what they offered. There is still no other set of films that have that magic for me.

SW forums are a trolls playground at the moment.

 

You don't understand, they want to save Star Wars. LOOK AT THE RT user score. That's what they're saying. No wonder Metacritic and RT consider the critics score the actual website score and not the audience one.

 

They're literally like the Spanish Inquisition you know. They abide by the promise that you might save the person you are burning all in the effort of policing religious orthodoxy.

It’s a predicament for me. On the one hand, I don’t like reading thread upon thread of pointless hate. On the other, I prefer a straight fight to all this sneaking around.
