Kylo Ren as a pilot

Haha, naa, it should be - Kylo storms the MF and says pointing with his lightsaber "That ship, it belongs to me!"

 

And gets his butt kicked yet again. Chewie and Rey can take turns (we'd finally get to see Chewie rips someone's arms out of their sockets).

Well Ben/Kylo losing him arm(s) would make sense and be "hereditary" since every Akywalker loses their arms except for Shmi Skywalker...who lost her life

 

Considering that the Millennium Falcon is much bigger than a lightsaber, it only makes sense that Kylo gets a much bigger butt kicking.

Kylo thinks that Anakin's saber was his, and he gets wounded by that same weapon in the end.

If Kylo thinks that the Millennium Falcon is his, he will get shot by the Falcon's turret as a result.

 

This is in case, you are not joking (it's hard to tell), but it also sounds as if you are trolling, but instead of giving you a Scavenger Boss, I'll reply. (Next time, you'll get an Unkar.)

it would be interesting if, rather than a ship, we got to see some speeders/landcraft of some sort.
not sure what Kylo Ren would look like on a space hog, but since that's something Rey's clearly already familiar with, a chase could be sorta fun if it was kept short and purposeful (none of this 20-minute pointless pod-racing business).

 

Yes, piloting abilities are not necessarily reserved for piloting ships...I really think they will have something with Kylo piloting something in VIII...It should be very interesting. I can't wait.

 

another option would be boats or water speeders.
we haven't had a boat chase in a Star Wars film, have we? or maybe that would be a bit too much Waterworld.
hard to see him on a water speeder in all those layers.

or how about a good old-fashioned horse-chase (or horse-like ~ not tauntauns or giant lizards or eopies, but real horses with maybe some cool prosthetics).
wouldn't really count as piloting, but that's something we haven't seen in Star Wars either.

Agreed we have yet to see his piloting skills so VIII presents that opportunity, I hope RJ didn't forget that.

ragging on his piloting skills on that account has been an ongoing gag; the other ones of him being jealous of his Dad hanging out with Poe are pretty funny.

I would love to see Kylo Ren in the pilot seat. I love his command shuttle, though I'm not sure whether he pilots that particular ship. He probably has elite First Order pilots that chauffeur him around the galaxy.

It'd be pretty cool to see Kylo flying some kind of special TIE fighter in a dogfight with Poe in his black X-wing.

 

Your suggestions on Kylo using the force on Poe's X-Wing is something I would love to see!! Good idea, I hope they have Kylo do that and have force powers we never even dreamed of seeing in Ep8/9. Like you mentioned, I don't think Kylo could match Poe's flying skills as Poe is amazing at that and it made me wonder if Poe has residue force sensitivity since he grew up around that Force Tree Luke gave his mother.

Now that you say it, it would be very cool if Kylo Ren had his own fighter pilot. I always think when he says to Poe, "I wasn't aware we had the best pilot in the galaxy" (or something like that). It always makes me wonder if Kylo says that in a competitive way. Can Kylo fly? is that why he only says Resistance, because Poe sure as heck owns everyone in the First Order.
