    Great video by Thor Skywalker posits that Kylo Ren had a force vision through Vader's helmet in which a powerful girl appeared.

    I think I want this to be true because I like the theory. It's definitely interesting. However, based on the movie alone without the novel, some of the ways he interprets things are not necessarily how I interpreted them.

    Does this not fulfill Abramson's "mystery box" business? A major plot point is mostly withheld from viewers, but it informs the actions of one or more of the characters? The big "aha, of course" when it is revealed? Why shouldn't Kylo have had a vision showing him a mysterious girl (who he expected to be a bit more of a social equal)? He might even have been pining or fantasizing about this girl shown to him by his grandfather. This would tend to make their being linked together by the force a major plotline. I just hope the link is something more interesting than they are are cousins or siblings.
