My gf decided she wanted to watch "Dragonfly" starring Kevin Costner. I had never saw it before either even though it's been around for 20 years. Basically it's about a doctor whose wife dies in a bus accident in another country. Then he begins receiving mysterious signs she is trying to convey to him. It didn't quite know what it wanted to be really. It became down right creepy at some points, but the ending was good.

One of those movies from my childhood that didn't hold up, but it held up so poorly it's actually become funnier unintentionally.

Movie called Luck and Finch, both on Apple TV,

Luck, good but not for me. We all have good and bad Luck. It like a Disney/Pixar flim, cos it made bty someone that used to work for Disney/Pixar.

Finch, story of a man, a dog and two robots, and surving. There some sad moments, like Finch get angry at robot, another robot got destory by bear trap and Finch pass away and unable to see The Golden Gate Bridge, It a good flim. Don't like that robot name Dewey get killed off/destoryed, and should be at the end with Robot named Jeff and the dog. Never get over the Dewey death believe it should get destory and nearly ruin the flim for me abit well can't have all, even just a movie but did enjoy the flim even it's emotional.

Always a fun watch. Like quite a few people I actually saw the series in reverse though it really makes no difference. Saw this one in middle school when a friend rented the tape and brought it to a sleepover. We didn't even know it was a sequel to anything. Then sometime in late high school found out there were two previous movies but was only ever able to find Evil Dead 2. It wasn't until college that I was actually able to find the first film and finally watched that one.

I've been on older movies kick, especially if I have not seen them.

Mean Creek - Starring Rory Culkin, Josh Peck, Carly Shroeder

Josh plays a bully named George who has even deeper issues than what's on the surface. He bullies Rory's character named Sam and his brother decides him, Sam and his friends are going to pay him back with a prank as they go on a day trip in a boat down a creek. Things get heated the farther they go as Marty played by Scott Mechowiz has the true vendetta as everyone else wants to call off the prank he doesn't. George and Marty begin to clash as George won't shut up about his father until he's knocked into the water by Sam's brother. And the inevitable happens.

The ending was anti-clamtic. Not really satisfying, but a really good independent film.

I had myself a little double feature of movies from 1986 (the year wasn't planned I just noticed the coincidence actually) that couldn't be more different. The first was this "film".

I have not sat down and really watched this movie since I was a kid and my first reaction was... I USED TO WATCH THIS AS A KID?!?!?!? I mean I didn't have the VHS or anything, nor do I remember being a huge fan (I remember it scaring me at times) but it was always on HBO, it was the 80's and it was a Stallone movie so you watched it. According to the Wikipedia entry (which is more entertaining than the movie) they had to edit down a bunch of violence to get the rating from X to R. The movie is basically like "let's combine Dirty Harry with a Slasher movie". They even snag up a couple of actors from the first Dirty Harry movie in case the audience needed it spelled out. The funny thing is that this is basically Stallone's vision for "Beverly Hills Cop" which he was set to star in, then rewrote the script to be all violent and serious so they sent him packing and he took his ideas from that script into this one.

Anyway I had to watch something a little more cheerful afterwards, a nice story about a kid building an atomic bomb.

Some people kind of consider it a WarGames ripoff as it's another "Genius 80s kid almost causes Armageddon" movie but I actually enjoy it a little bit more than the other. John Lithgow is really great in it, so is the kid (Christopher Collett) who surprisingly didn't go on to do much afterward and became a pilates instructor while Stallone somehow managed to survive following up Cobra with Over The Top.

Saw these two recently telling of the downfall of Charles I King Of England. I preferred Cromwell of To Kill a king as things were wrong in to kill a king it was preferred as a brotherly relationship between Fairfax & Cromwell but the cromwell movie they were at odds over the king's fate. Cromwell was 6ft height in history but Tim Roth was 5.7ft much smaller,

Because the second one was always on TV when I was growing up and the first one never was (or I never encountered it) I'm actually a bit more nostalgic about the second one than the first. I enjoyed the remake as well, particularly David Tenant as Peter Vincent and changing him from a Horror Host (which aren't very big anymore) into a famous magician of the Criss Angel variety was pretty funny. And Collin Farrell made a pretty good Jerry the vampire but really no match for Chris Sarandon in the original. I love how casual and laid back he is for a vampire, except when he turns into his monster form and he's over the top

Seen this many times but this was the first time I connected the dots that it reunited Perkins and Balsam from Psycho.

Still waiting on Buckaroo Banzai vs The World Crime League. There's actually a book but I avoided it because it's supposed to be awful and actually has the lowest rating I've ever seen on Goodreads. I imagine a sequel at this late of a date wouldn't be much better.

An old favorite and great 80s horror/comedy that managed to do both very well...

With a Star Wars connection. Director Dan O'Bannon worked on A New Hope doing the graphical displays that show up on all the computers and screens in the movie.

He also wrote Alien and Total Recall (loosely based on the Philip K. Dick story) and co-wrote and starred in John Carpenter's USC student film turned first feature film Dark Star, part of the story of which was reworked into Alien.

I love those 2 Batman movies but The Wizard should be thrown in jail for making the Power Glove look cool.
