Have you any of you guys ever played KOTOR?

 

Yep, but unfortunately the game feels too dated now . I quit early on.

Let's just say that I've loved playing those games so much and that I've played them for so long that I had several playthroughs with the same exact build, same exact major choices and same exact character appearances because everything else was already pretty much explored.

Alas, I had more time then than I do now, but I still follow BioWare's gaming pursuits - like patiently awaiting Mass Effect: Andromeda that's due to arrive next year.

You should join us over at the Old Republic Paint Adventures thread, by the way, found in the Gaming section of the Casino here. It's set roughly in a pseudo new-canon Old Republic era set two centuries after Revan's time. Basically, it ignores SWTOR's timeline from a certain point, making the Reclamation of Korriban the only event that's actually canon. Why? For the extra freedom to account for our members' choices. Since, as I clumsily forgot to mention, the thread is an interactive animated adventure, like a drunken D&D campaign with friends.

Also, it's not very serious. Expect lots of questionable humor in inappropriate situations. If you're not a fan of that, I can understand. We actually had an opening crawl done about a week and a half ago. You could use it as a good intro into the story.

Still, wanted to welcome you back. I didn't really have a lot of spare time these days so I did not notice your return up until now.

I've never actually played SWTOR (still waiting on KOTOR 3) but I know a little bit about the story enough, I think, to contribute.

 

As I said, it's mostly grounded in its own canon for absolute freedom. Quite a substantial bit of players actually never played SWTOR, as far as I'm aware. It's a 50/50 spread. Coincidentally, we seem to have visited only KotOR 1/2 planets so far, like Nar Shaddaa, Dantooine and Taris, and none of the SWTOR-only ones. For reference, this is the Galaxy Map that we're using:



I'm actually about to write the next update for the thread right now. It should be up in half an hour or so. You could check it out and see the "latest bit" to get a feeling on how the system works, as well as place your own suggestion, but I strongly suggest going through the entire adventure in your spare time, even if it's over 50 pages of content.

Yes, today was my first full day and the professors I met for the first time seem to be good teachers and also sympatical ones and according to some friends, the others are good too. I just hope that I will get along with my French teacher because, with Latin and Greek classes, he will be my teacher during 10 hours a week!

Parsecs are a measure of distance, not time as it's used in SW. But hey, it sounds cool in SW anyway. I'd take a ride in the Falcon on the basis of that boast.

I'm sure you will get along with him fine. Just thinking about this makes me tired, but I wish you many happy hours of conjugating and declining.
