I've seen that enough times now that I feel like I have to say that it reminds me of this :D:

You were right @Choose Light, I get along with him very fine! He is wonderful! Very joyful but also serious.

I'm in a similar situation when I heard, read or even think about one of Hux and Kylo's exchanges, this one:
When comes the last sentence, I cannot repress a smile because it reminds me that:

Well, I think it's safe to assume that every country learns its primary language in a similar fashion :D.

yeah, I think so... I've never study in an Anglo-Saxon country so... But it seems logical so I would say yes.
I study literature (a lot!!!!) and history of literature, we also learn how to write a composition, a text commentary...
I used to learn a lot of grammar, spelling and conjugation, but now we concentrate more on literature.

I've always hated learning English because, growing up, my reasoning was that we already speak it and write it so what's the point of learning it? Have a literature class, sure, but learning actual English English in school has always been unnecessary for me

I agree. I think it's because the teachers want us to learn literary French (or English) given that we already know talked French (or English) and to have good basis to make a good impression (that's what told me one of my teachers in primary school).

Yeah, it's similar down here. Primary school focuses on improving your reading and writing skills, whereas college focuses on furthering your writing range e.g. essays: visual, oral, written texts, reports, speeches etc. Tertiary education focuses on refining and applying that knowledge to the workplace e.g. business reports, speeches etc.
The very "actual" English that you refer is of utmost importance in many work environments. That's like saying I know how to count, so I shan't need to learn "actual" maths. Both subject areas provide very important skills that assist you greatly in your adult life :).

Edit: sorry, I forget. College pretty much = high school.

Yeah I get primary school but sitting in an advanced 11th grade english class writing essays all day long on the most boring subjects ever and being told, "each essay you write with make you sound like the smartest person ever" makes no sense to me.

lol well math is a completely different ballpark altogether. Classes on professionalism and being politically correct would be a lot better because anyone can write but not everyone can write well/chooses not to.

I cannot believe I didn't pick up on this before. Thanks for enhancing the scene for me! I was initially doubtful that "For Fux's Sake" would catch on, but once that Saber moment occurred when he's shifting through the gunfight, I knew that something golden was brought to the comic.

Regarding the topic at hand, I never actually found much to complain about regarding the classes I had to attend, though this is coming from the guy who loved his art and music classes in a freaking electrical engineering school. The only time I was somewhat annoyed, was in university with my programming classes as the material for the first couple of semesters were things that I've already visited in my own spare time whilst making my graduation project for high school. On the bright side, this gave me more sessions to go out and grab some food, most often at a pasta place and a Chinese restaurant near the campus.

    yeah... me I've the canteen...
But I have to precise that the one of High-school is better (and much more like a cafeteria) than the one of the medium-school which is better than the one of the primary school, so I'll not moan a lot.

Are you allowed to leave school at lunch time to get yourself something to eat? Because you had to be in the final year of high school in order to, everywhere I went down here.

In fact I can but I prefer to eat at school because I have sometimes only half an hour to eat because of optional classes and there is more queue outside school than at the canteen...
