Local Theaters Implementing Bans On Costumes For New ‘Star Wars’ Film

I don't like this one bit. However with terrorists, obsessive numptys and agenda pushing idiots you can never tell what is going on in there minds. I mean look at those ridiclous tweets the night the trailer was dropped. They need some serious help, its only a movie for christ sakes

 

Ugh. I get it but still dislike. I can see them banning the blasters but lightsabers? Come on.

 

What about face paint?

 

I hope they don't ban space buns, exotic braids, or gold bikinis.

 

I can't wear my Leia Bikini?! :'(

If face paint isn't banned, then I'll design a kylo ren face paint mask and show you guys how to do it.

 

I guess the argument would be, if something is going on they are hiding there identity!? Just a guess I can't give an answer.

 

Another case where an idiotic minority screws something up for the majority and the government and corporations are all to eager to start banning and regulating stuff away. This is somewhat in league with some theaters pretty much implementing bag checks. To me that is going way to far from a privacy standpoint, and smacks of a conflict of interest because I have a feeling while the justification was so that people couldn't sneak weapons in, was done to further the no outside snacks or refreshments policy/agenda the theaters have.

 

They (the oppressors) underestimate both the power of the force and the skill of smugglers who are not so afraid that they drop their cargo at the first sign of imperials.

These aren't the costumes you're looking for....move along!

I get it. its a real safety concern. I could hide a lot of gear under my sith cloak... and it would be a real pain in the rear to have everyone inspected before the show. Im not saying im happy about it... but I understand.

a small chain cant afford to have any accidents happen under their roof... It would put them out of business.

Minority in the sense of, the vast vast majority of theater goers versus some whacko being in the minority. Not a racial-ethnic thing.

s a concern, but not everyone is that crazy...only a star trek fan would try something that stupid at the premiere inside of a movie theater. instead, it's more likely for something to happen at the star wars light saber battle in DTLA this year.

 

true about that...If it was to happen at all, i'd imagine it at grauman's or something in a major city to draw more attention.

 

its still a risk nonetheless. Even if its a very small risk, its better to be safe than sorry.

 

I get the nothing-that-looks-like-real-guns ban. Face paint, Darth Vader masks, etc. ....? I mean...face paint???

There are creative possibilities outside the rules for this ban, but that sucks for people who want to be Kylo, Darth, or Boba Fett in full costume. The bizarre face paint ban eliminates a lot of possibilities for alien characters or alternate masked characters. Don't get that at all.
