My theory is coming to fruition.
The only thing is I think the younger woman will be Lando's daughter.

Interesting - she looks not too unlike Daisy Ridley, and she could easily be an older Mara Jade. After all the name 'Ben' from Legends was re-used for Kylo Ren.

I wonder, has the possibility of Rey's mother being an Organa aside from Leia been discussed? Maybe a sister or cousin of Leia?

From the announced cast for VIII, Laura Dern seems most likely candidate for Luke's wife/lover and or Rey's mother:

Theoretically, she could play Rey's mom even if she and Daisy didn't look that much alike. It's not like that hasn't happened in movies before and Mark and Carrie don't really look like twins (but there you go). And Daisy DOES already bear resemblance to Hayden Christiansen, Mark Hamill, Natalie Portman, AND Pernilla August (Shmi Skywalker).

But man, Laura Dern being here at all is AWESOME!!

I honestly don't care for Jeremy Conrad, but I find it interesting that Pablo retweeted this. I'd love for Laura Dern to be Mara Jade too, but I wouldn't get you're hopes up to high. Regardless of who she is playing, adding talent like Laura Dern is only a good thing!

Yep, it is rumoured that he'll go on a gay club on Coruscant just after Rey found him.

Who cares about the Jedi Code ? I mean is it the whole plot of the movie ? Meh. Let's party all night and dance. This is the new light way.

 

Oh gosh. Such a great news to me. A real fan of Dern. Love her in her works with David Lynch. Hope she will be Rey's mother and Luke's wife.

 

I would argue that the close-minded and restrictive ways of the Jedi by the time of the Clone Wars led to their downfall. The Jedi focused too much on tradition, they were arrogant, blind to the return of the Sith.

This is why Luke has sought out the First Jedi Temple. To 'restart' the Jedi Order and return it to its roots. Sort of like turning off and on a computer again.

Anyway, getting back on topic - does anybody know any films or TV shows with either of these two actresses?

 

Absolutely not the point of the Clone Wars. The point was to win a war. Luke wasn't at war at all for 30 years.

Thing is Anakin was being manipulated by Palpatine. And besides, his love for Padme produced two children who greatly benefited the galaxy, and his love for his son ultimately killed Palpatine.
