    I apologize, but could not find the Luke thread for the life of me.

    I've been wondering since this battle was a year after the events of ROTJ then what was Luke's involvement in it? I'm just curious because he's only been missing for the past ten years not 30 years.

    I'm guessing this will be told in the Novel Aftermath possibly?

    Post-Endor battles might have raged across several dozen worlds in the following year(s), so he might not have been there at all. For all we know, Luke was on Coruscant at the time, fighting pockets of Imperial resistance, or whatever.

    Long story short, we have no way at all of knowing, and nothing to base speculations on.

    Yes, but he might have been. He was prominent in helping destroy the Death Star. He was a big help in ESB and an even bigger hero in ROTJ. So maybe he was in the battle of Jakku too.

    This has me wondering: did Luke dedicate the rest of his time to being a Jedi or did he do Rogue Squadron missions here and there? So, if he was still part of the Squad, that means that he possibly could have been a part of the battle. I like to hope that he still fights from time to time. (Edit: I know it books he did fight for a couple more years and then retired.)

    I would think the Rebellion would have begged Luke to continue fighting for/with them after the Battle of Endor. The true question is would he continue to fight a battle when the two of the greatest sith died at his hands. Was there anything left for him to fight? Anything left to prove? I think he probably went into seclusion and deep mediation. After a while he decided he wanted to start to rebuild the Jedi order and start a small academy; his two primary students: Kylo and Rey.

    Hrm. You're right. Then again, maybe lending a hand because the job wasn't done and the fear of a new threat coming about would have him trying to do what he could. I can see him sticking around for a couple years before peace-ing out and doing his thing. The question though if this will be covered/alluded to in the films or in the tie-in novels.

    I don't know, I'd sort of like Luke bringing the old Jedi order rules back and maybe this causes Kylo to rebel? I'm assuming that Kylo was in Luke's jedi academy prior to the events of TFA.

    I thought Aftermath was about someone spying on Imperial meetings and the like? Maybe it'll be in Shattered Empire, the comic?
