    Luke uses his new tractor beam force ability and pulled all ships to Jakku.

    The Battle of Jakku took place shortly after the Battle of Endor (not more than a year, I think) and it must've been a helluva fist fight, especially seeing more than one Star Destroyer knocked in the dirt on the surface. After Endor, the Rebellion then seems to have gained traction (a LOT of it) against the Empire and then went full throttle after the Empire.

    Just from what we've seen and speculated (because we don't know differently) Jakku might have been pivotal, and it's my opinion that Luke was involved, I don't think that he just packed his bags and walked away after Endor....much work left, there was. He left later...if at all.

    It's unclear how or what Luke did in the last 20-35 years since the events of ROTJ(1983).
    Since Disney & Bad Robot/ILM wiped out most of the "canon" & re-organized the plot-storyline, no one can say what the film will portray.
    I'd guess that Skywalker will have a small contingent of Jedi that either screws up regally or gets smoked(snoked :confused:).

    Luke might be upset or a wreck which could be a liability to Leia & the volatile balance of the Republic.
