I think it would be amazing to see Luke in a Dogfight. Even though Obi Wan never got back in the cockpit of a fighter Vader certainly did.

Imagine Luke swooping in to save Poe's skin and then boarding the SSD that Snoke is on in some mash up of how Anakin and Obi Wan boarded Grievous' command ship in ROTS and the way Vader boarded the stolen Imperial ship in Lords of the Sith.

Probably have to wait until IX, if we ever see it that is.

 

I like to think that Luke has kept his X-Wing all this time. As a reminder of Yoda, the Death Star, and all that he's gone through. That said, we still don't know how it was recovered in ESB, or whether the one he had in ROTJ was a new one.

 

It could also be to make his presence on that island less conspicuous...

 

Rey (the scavenger) spotting a resistance X-Wing underwater.... that would be like Winnie the pooh spotting a mountain of honey.

the BTS clip of her diving in the water has gotta be her going for the X-Wing.

bet she can get it running

 

Unless there is a crashed Cruiser on that water world she wont be scavenging anything but fuzzy bird poo and rocks, unless shes going to sacrifice parts from the Falcon.

 

You're discounting the possibility of underwater caves. He could Force lift and lower an Xwing into the water and down into an underwater cave that's dry, as the ultimate secure storage space. And it'd basically just be there in case of emergency.

They do show a cave in the BTS video....

I think there's almost no chance of that being what's in the movie. Just pointing out something that the BTS and ESB show is possible.

 

This ship has more holes than a slice of Swiss cheese. If it's going anywhere, it is probably a junkyard. It looks as destroyed as wrecks found on Jakku.

Well if Luke's X-Wing is underwater and possibly damaged, that could explain why he is on Ach-Too. If his ship was damaged and he crashed it there with no hope that it could fly again he would have no reason to use Force to lift it out of the depths and he would be stuck there without communications or a way off.

 

The Falcon would make the most sense.

 

There's a rumored battle at Ach-To, too. Maybe these are more recently crashed ships?

 

I think it's a waterfall between two rocks and a pile of foam.

It's off the tip of the left wing under water and is "speeder bike" sized with a porg sized cockpit and some little wings like on the Slave I.

So not the pile of rocks and foam you pointed out...but that doesn't mean I'm not batpoop crazy

 

No more raising x-wings from underwater, we've done that already. I really hope they aren't doing a complete remake of TESB. It will probably happen though.
