According to MSW, you'd be wrong: "This scene takes place in a castle. I have very little doubt this is the same planet where the Skellig Michael shoot took place for Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley."

So we know that Hamill is ONE scene at Skellig Michael...and this concept art is based on scene's there....sooooo.....cyborg = Luke..... OR.....

MSW is CLICK-BAITING everyone with their recent dumps.

I won't believe it until MSW says so.

Why is everyone suddenly doubting that evil phantom of the opera cyborg Luke doesn't exist? I've actually seen a concept art picture of it!

You mean you haven't heard the song demo tapes that leaked, have you? The entire movie is full of covers from PotO! Man, I never knew Luke had such pipes! Though I'm awfully creeped out by his and Rey's interractions now.

Probably. But the character I mentioned (the one in the Darth Vader comic) looked a lot like Adam Driver. Here's a photo of him:

If I remember correctly, Jason's said that some images of Kylo Ren have the top-right portion of his face covered by a mask, and that he has metal implants attached to the other side of his head. Which, what do you know, looks like it would tie in nicely with the character shown above. The only question that raises is that Adam Driver would have to be aged significantly through makeup in the shots where he has his mask off. But hey, they pulled that off with Guy Pearce in Prometheus...

But back to the original point. In any case, I'm not shaking my belief that one of those two cloaked creeps is being portrayed by Andy Serkis, and that the other is Adam Driver. Which is which is the real question...

Same planet does not necessarily equal same set. Pinewood had desert sets and snow sets for filming long after they did all of the location shooting.

Maybe he gets frozen in carbonite or something. The author of the Vader comic has said that character is very important and has cybernetic enhancements so I do agree with you that it could be Driver.

He certainly knew how to get away with flipping off a bunch of children on a program that aired on a family-friendly block.

That show was insanely dark for its target audience. But I suppose with the references Animaniacs were throwing around Batman could get away with a lot

We don't know. Hell, Darth Vader didn't know when he ran into him. He does not speak a word in the comic, and he's seen to have ties to the Emperor. If it's a character from The Force Awakens, it's either MVS or AD, and I'm a little more inclined to believe that it's the latter based on what we've heard in terms of character designs.

Also, that's not a cybernetic eye. He really has half of a Rodian's face implanted into his skull for one reason or another.

Wasn't there a recent rumour that MvS's character had links to the Emperor? Anyone? Or was that someone/-thing else?

I'll end reading through these last 9 pages but I need clarification (perhaps it's been brought up already).

Didn't Jason talk about evil Luke? Cyborg Luke?

No? Because I feel like his amazing sources provides him for material to write click worthy articles related to those things. But all of a sudden, Luke makes a cameo?

What about all the other things related to Luke?

My gentle Jesus...I refuse to get in trouble for criticizing another "member" (aka self promoter but why split hairs?) but I so wish we could lay actual money down on this inconsistent attention seeking nonsense.

Pick a story and stick with it, or admit that you have some sources that are unreliable and lied to you.

I suppose some people think they're the smartest person in the room and us

If Luke has only one scene in the movie, it would be interesting to see how they will handle all upcoming teasers, trailers and TV spots. I guess it's safe to assume that Luke will be featured in at least some of those. Will they show his only scene? Or they had filmed some other scenes just for the trailers? It would be tricky.

I, too, am very dismayed by the "Luke cameo" rumor from Making Star Wars. I don't want to dismiss it out of hand since Jason Ward has proven to be a reliable researcher in the past, but I very sincerely hope it turns out that Ward isn't yet seeing the whole picture on the issue of Luke's involvement in the story. This rumor just feels so wrong. Did Abrams, Kasdan, Kennedy, and Disney honestly think people would want to be reintroduced to Luke, who's now supposedly the most powerful Jedi in history, in such an underwhelming way? It would make more sense to let Rey and Finn come into their own in the subsequent movies, by which time we'll already feel used to them and hopefully care about them more, and have Luke finish off all the bad guys at the end of this movie in an absolutely crazy way as a kind of "last hurrah" for him. I think I'm far from being alone in wanting to see Luke come back with a bang!

After all, it has been said that this movie was intended as a way of "passing the torch" to the younger generation, and part of doing that would be to allow each member of the older generation their moment to shine before they either die or recede into the background of the story in some other way.

I'm preparing myself for the possibility. One silver lining if this rumor does come to fruition is that we'll have had some warning. Imagine being completely caught off guard by this.

I always thought Luke would only be in the final third of the film. To me it makes sense story-wise and drmatically to build up the anticipation of seeing Luke for the first time in over 30 years. As some posters have mentioned earlier, without proper context, it's difficult to fairly judge what we're hearing.

We've heard reports of the pressure JJ has felt controlling a project that is no ordinary one for him. After all, he's a huge fan like us. I'd suspect any director would feel tye pressure to please a ravenous fanbase as SW fans, much less one of us. Just can't wrap my head around the fact that JJ would do this, especially after the reaction of fans to the PT (I personally enjoy them). Perhaps MSW has good info, just incomplete. Also there was a report awhile back about reshoots. Any word on whether Hamill may have taken part in some of these? Perhaps to add another layer of protection for the mystery box?
