SPOILER Mandalorian S1E6

Just watched Chapter 6... Still pretty much a self-contained episode with the main plot not moving forward much (although I was delighted it was over 40 minutes long!) but it's a great one. Action-packed; interesting supporting characters and some more nostalgic Easter eggs. One of my favourite episodes so far.

Baby Yoda looking at his hand thinking he blew up the droid was so cute! The X-Wings... The shot of Mando coming up behind Bill Burr with the flashing red lights was amazing and reminded me of the Vader scene in Rogue One. The mercenary crew characters were very very well done overall. All were instantly unlikeable and the Twi'Lek was especially annoying but I hated them all passionately from the very start. Aaaand there's a Gungan joke as well Also the music is nothing short of amazing.

I still hope to see a bit more in terms of the main plot progressing but I accept that the show is more procedural in its nature. I hope that means we get at least 5 seasons of it

 

His gauntlet holds 12. He used 5 on the ST’s and looks like 5 or 6 fired against Burg. That leaves 1. I’m sure he has some refills though. He had a lot of Beskar from that job. I could be wrong. I don’t have a way to play the episode in slow-mo.... yet.

 

Now we will be waiting for that one last bird to whistle the whole rest of the season...

 

Question to everyone. What are you more excited for? Rise of Skywalker or Episode 7? I ,personally, am more excited for episode 7 then Rise of Skywalker. TLJ kinda let me down and The Mandolorian has really just made my soul happy soo... yeah. What are your thoughts?

 

I'm excited for it ALL. I'm very grateful to The Mandalorian for giving me wonderful Star Wars content to think about to distract me from being anxious/excited/fearful/giddy about TRoS. It has saved me from going catatonic, pretty much.

 

Since Return of the Jedi Jabba's half-naked slave/dancer, I have had that curious feeling and a certain attraction for Twi'leks.
And now Xi'An.

I think I could start a family with a female Twi'lek.

 

Excited for both in different ways.
I'm not particularly fond of the sequel movies (so far) but I'm still excited to see what happens next and how the saga ends. It still has that certain feel of epicness that a TV show just can't achieve. Also I must say that my opinion about the sequels (at least about The Force Awakens) improved a little after getting some more background info from the new novels (particularly Claudia Gray's Bloodline).
The Mandalorian feels very like Star Wars I fell in love with decades ago so it's very close to my heart and makes me happy so I'm looking forward to each and every episode.

So on IMDB they have Gina Carono (Cara Dune) slotted in 3 episodes. So hopefully episodes 7&8 have or favorited Shock Trooper joining Mando for a bit.

Also they have some Bounty Hunters by name. Dare I say one of them is Spurs...?

Bwahaha!!! Your not wrong. I’m right there with you. I wonder though. How would my half Twi'lek kid model and wear the Mandolorian helmet...?

 

It's a short week this time. The next episode is Wednesday!

 

I knew she'd be in one more episode because of the footage that we haven't seen yet from the trailer, but if she's in both I will be so happy! I really like her character.

Wikipedia says the 18. I’m both happy and saddened by this news.

On one hand I don’t have to wait till Friday to see what happens to TINY and Mando (the order is intentional). On the other, I have longer to wait until episode 8.

Yes, it's Wednesday because of TRoS opening on Friday. So it will be Wednesday next week, than Friday the 27th for the last one.

 

TRoS premieres on the 18th here so it's both TRoS and the new Episode of The Mandalorian on Wednesday for me!

 

Best episode yet. Really enjoyed this one.

 

Never count the eggs before they are in the basket I am very excited for both. I have bought my ticket for TROS, I sit in the lounge, a couple of months ago and I am patiently waiting for the day We go a group of friends, I am sure it will be amazing, also the beer afterwards!

Twi'leks are truly gracious, beautiful and attractive. Just those two were some sort of damaged goods Can't blame them too if you consider how many of them are misused for their natural gift.

I am sure he has some ammo left you know in movies all guns fire 2x - 1000x more ammo than the original magazine holds no worries there will be fireworks in the next episodes!

Mando run out of credits, fuel, spare parts, ammo ... With all running costs he is forced to do some action. That part with stretching the legs is over. So I expect a lot of fun in next 2 episodes.

 

After seeing in this episode the borderline insane and definitely criminal people that Mando used to hang out with, it's no wonder the peaceful farmers and Omera in Sorgan were such a sanctuary for Mando...

 

I decided I wanted to remember my favorite movie characters still alive, free and out there in the universe, somewhere. Too much hate and contempt dumped on them.

 

Another great episode! Enjoyed the X-Wing pilot cameos. Thought Burr made a good scoundrel type (wish he'd backed down on the Boston-ish accent a bit though). And the only real gripe I had was more of an annoyance: The Twi'Lek's hissing and fang-licking routine. It was borderline over-the-top. Guess I'm used to the Hera Syndulla-type Twi'Leks. Anyway, that aside, this series just continues to entertain.

Also, was the droid supposed to be the live-action version of the AP-5 droid from Rebels? That was my first thought.

 

The droids definitely remind me of Doza's Resistance droid. They don't look exactly alike but they look as though they could be a precursor to her.
