    What is the obsession with Maul? Great character, but he died in the first prequel.

    It's funny hearing another (solid) Alec Guinness imitation. My brother in law talks in his voice all the time. He needs to get in touch with Lucasfilm or something, cause it's uncannily close. lol.

    No one has mentioned Dodonna or Wulff Yularen yet. Yularen is far from my favorite character, but I think it is super neat to include him, since he was in ANH and had a recurring role in the clone wars.

    Very exciting stuff - the rendering for Old Ben looks fantastic, and his voice sounded great. Looks like lots of action to be had in the back end of Season 3; I just hope they cut down on some of their filler/fluff episodes.

    Well, he clearly did until they invented a convoluted back story to bring him back to like. Being severed in half above the waist tends to be fairly terminal.

    I can't wait until Han Solo returns in Episode IX with his mechanical heart.

    Maul was resurrected under prior ownership (though Filoni was involved as well) as a reaction to a lot of criticism for killing off a character with a lot of potential, from the prequels no less, way too soon. I thought bringing him back in TCW was really cheesy myself but once they had his story was never resolved. If you're going to allow a character like Maul to just float around out there you had might as well use him. If you can put him to good use.

    Rebels is doing that.

    As cool as it will be to see some Kenobi action in Rebels, I can't help but feel that this means the show is gearing up for an endgame which would make season 4 the last. If Ben is now bordering on ANH age and there has already been chatter that we may see the battle of Scarif from the Rebels crew point of view, there can't be much more to tell prior to the movie timeframe?


    On a separate note... how can we be on post #38 of this thread now and no-one has rushed in with the "If Kenobi is in Rebels, I bet we'll see Rey's mother too!" riff :D

    Being chopped up into pieces and burned alive tends to be a bit of a character killer as well. As does being digested.
    However, both Darth Vader and Boba Fett seem to be doing alright for themselves.
