    ok. he
OK. He started to teach her, until one day...... :) I just hate the idea that we hat almost the first day we saw the meeting picture of Rey being Han´s daughter. And since I´m no friend of ties and mirrorings, we already had brother and sister...why not make it more intersting and more surprising for the audience making a bad Solo fighting a good Skywalker....

That would be interesting but to be honest I don't think Kylo is related to anyone. Regarding Rey being a Skywalker I don't really have a preference but it seems to me she is most likely a Solo.

With all the rumors about Kylo, why are you so convinced he's not related? Honestly, I think him being related gives the audience a reason to care about his character. Just another "Sith Lord" really is kind of boring if you ask me. Especially after Luke defeated the Sith 30 years ago. Having Kylo use what Luke taught him against his family. Luke, Han and Leia basically creating the next "bad guy", that is kind of interesting to me.....especially if he ends up killing his own father.

First, there is a DELETED scene in the start of ROTJ where Luke is in a cave building his new GREEN saber. He HIDES the light saber in R2D2, (artoo) .
George Lucas spoke at the 2010 Orlando Florida SWC and showed that film clip so it may be significant to him or maybe the new films, ;) .
I don't know how or what the sabers will mean in the new trilogy but it will be cool to see the new battles & stunt work, (duel).

You are right, and that saber is destroyed in the battle with Dokuu. So all we know from the movies is that Anakin get a new saber after AOTC.

That's funny. And of course ignore means I caught myself saying something inaccurate and deleted it best I could.

Hey, maybe I should do this more often and pad my ratings.

I'm off to the Jakku=Tatooine and Luke is a cyborg threads. ;)

He broke his lightsaber in the droid foundry just before his capture. I'm pretty sure the one he's given in the arena battle is green bladed and looks more like the more mass produced looking ones that Plo Koon used in the Clone Wars and like the one he found that belonged to Sifo Dyas- a plain shaft with many rings at the top, then a conical point with a few ridges at the bottom. Sometime between AotC and the Clone Wars, he built the the one that we're discussing here that appears in the trailer and in the first two OT films.

That being said, I'd like to make two conjectural points- 1. He did a lot of important things with this saber, both good and ill, and Obi-Wan makes a specific point to pick it up on Mustafar, when he knew that Padme was pregnant, but not with twins. This leads me to believe that a person's lightsaber does carry some symbolic importance, even if only to the Jedi, as there have been mentions in the new canon about the Sith not really needing them. Also canon is the manner in which a Jedi acquires the crystal for the saber and how meaningful an experience it is, while the Sith just use synthetic crystals. 2- There's been a lot of speculation, both here an elsewhere, about the missing details on the "force awakening". I think that it's logical, given the fact that the Force "wakes up", that perceptions through it are enhanced and that objects either built or used by people strong in the Force would hold onto some aspect of their creator or owner and that such a thing could be felt by a later Force-sensitive owner. This would explain Kylo Ren's supposed relic hunting, and the importance of Anakin's lightsaber, since he was purportedly the most powerful Force user ever. Perhaps there's even a belief, given the time span in which Force users have been largely extinct- that the objects used by the legendary great ones can enhance the power of a later owner. Not sure how that would iron out exactly, but it would make for a solid premise. There's bound to be some misunderstandings among a totally new generation of Force users, essentially cut off from their predecessors by one or two generations. . .
