SPECULATION Naboo?

On the topic about Naboo some interesting things came from Greg Rucka.
According to him final issues of his four-issue comic series Shattered Empire, will have some “fun stuff” between Shara, Leia, and the new Queen of Naboo.

 

More of Queen Soruna? That's surprising... could she be another Naberrie?

 

That would be interesting.

Also Leia had some beautiful connections with TPM.

 

It'd be great to see some sort of scene (comic/novel/film) where Leia sees a picture of Padme, or something along those lines. It would have a great emotional impact for both characters past, present and future

 

I always thought the X-Wings flying over the lake in Teaser's one and two looks a heck of a lot more like Naboo than Yavin IV.

Chatter about Yavin IV has died of recently so maybe people have moved on from that theory, I think it was going around because: the Resitance Command Centre in the SDCC vid had vines growing through it and a similar colour stone; and the drone aerial photos of the 'resistance base' in the UK filming looked Yavin-like to some (but not to me). They didn't smang out (construct) the whole Massassi temple until they started filming for Rogue One so I think that Yavin IV theory is nearly deadybones to me. JJ doesn't talk much about the prequels, but the storygroup have been pushing us towards Naboo a bit.

TL;DR Naboo = credible/plausible, but probs unlikely.

 

I've never understood why people immediately concluded that the Resistance base is on Yavin 4. The drone photos look more like Naboo.



And the new EU has gone out of its way to familiarize Leia with Naboo, and featured the planet prominently in the major lead-in comic book for The Force Awakens. I was skeptical, but it really is looking like Leia has set up her Resistance base on Naboo. Which I really like as a low-key way to tie the series together and imply some sort of connection between Leia and Padme.

The X-Wing scenes in the trailers also look a bit like Naboo, but they have more jungle than most areas we've seen. Those shots are probably on Takodana.

 

Right on. I was thinking perhaps the "Lakes District" for the X-Wings. I think people (MSW?) jumped to Yavin IV because of the hangar openings and rumours about the interior looking similar to Yavin IV - but it's been 30 years, Naboo could have become a bit run down and overgrown...

I'mnot convinced on this theory, but I like it more and more, and would honestly prefer a bit of Naboo over a new planet, or Yavin IV (which never really had much going for it/didn't appeal to me, even in the EU...).

 

Is this mean that we will see Naboo, Tatooine and Endor in TFA?!
