RUMOR New super weapon?

The rumor is that there is a force powered super weapon that is basically a planet.

Spoiler: May or may not be true.

If Luke is captured, he cannot use the Force to escape because it will set off this weapon.

 

A machine retrocessing species evolution. Transforming any species in the universe to gungans.

 

Oh god… what if it’s a giant floating Epcot center??? Lol thanks Disney.

 

Look at the size of that super Star Destroyer. Gotta wonder how many innocent independent contractors were killed when it crashed.

 

Can't see even the Sith committing such an atrocity. Who are the real bad boys we're dealing with then?!

 

That ride is called "mission to space"..

 

You ever just sit at work…refreshing the Cantina…hoping for new cool stuff to talk about… then you see a new thread like this one and it just fully reignites your inner desire for this movie to come out? If there is a new super weapon and its big, bad, and dangerous….this movie is going to be amazing. I can’t even begin to tell you how awesome it would be to see such a monstrous object come onto the screen for me.

Dude....i rode that this summer... never been more sick in my life lol so IMO perfect Super Weapon.

I was half serious with my retrocessing machine.... The gungan part was pure delirium tremens.

I think it was a type of weapon I have seen in one of my favorite cartoon as a kid: Captain Future (no relation to Captain Plasma).

 

Well… Im hoping that if some of the rumors/speculations are true...

Then the immense power of this weapon should be handled throughout the entire series and not just this one movie. I want the weapon to be impactful and scary. Like…by Ep IX we are cringing at the sight of it or are super anxious that its going to fire. I think that’s the way to make it. The death star was freaky when I was a kid.

What if the weapon starts off in the hands of the Rebels? That would be interesting.

 

That would be a bit nice. Not sure they'd follow that though. I can't think of anything in the previous trilogies that has always been a significant threat throughout all three films, except for a person/side/faction.

I can see them investing in the villain again instead of a super weapon. Partly for what I said before, and partly for commercial aspect. I mean, we all could buy a Darth Vader and any other stuff with him, but I doubt many of us had a Death Star toy, largely due to cost.

Now, that said, I wouldn't mind the revelation being made in this film briefly, and perhaps casual mentions of it in the second, with the final full reveal being in the third film. That would seem to fit Star Wars better, in my view.

I like that line of thought.

 

That would be a cool twist. Expending Luke to protect it. Could be quite the situation.

Well if this is legit and that is a huge if (no offense just a skeptic) it is not a Rebels episode. Rebels is 15 years after ROTS and involves different characters. This is appears to be an treatment of something called Reclamation that appears to be a cartoon set after ROTJ that has yet to come into production.
