Probably simply a question of composition and personal preference, unless... they wanted to communicate some cryptic hint like, "everyone on the right in dark scenes are not what they seem", or something (but that is extremely unlikely, 'cause... why?)

Also, still no images of Sabine racing a speederbike down a lothal highway and sliding underneath a parked ship.

 

Adding a layer to make things a tad more difficult for the Empire. I can explain in great detail, but not here.

 

This is HUGE SPOILER for people not playing or yet finishing the game, but I do wonder if some of the story themes in Jedi Survivor hint at what we are going to see in Ahsoka, mainly Baylon and Shin:

The High Republic Jedi Dagan Gera turns to the dark side before you and bleeds his crystal to red, when he turns it on, the blade is not Darth Vader red, but same red/orange hue as the Dark Jedi in Ahsoka.
There is another Jedi, working with the Empire as Dagan serves himself, and his blade is orange as well. But I suspect that his is just orange as you have the option for that color in game. But well, Dagan Gera was powerful force user with uniqe abilities and he did bleed his crystal, but didn't embrace the dark side fully like Anakin did, so this might give a hint for Baylon and his motivations. Dagan was a lot like C'Baoth character from Zahn's novels, misguided and crazy Jedi from long lost era following his noble goal – in the end, wanting to build an army and wage war against the Empire. So he was definitely on path to the dark.

 

Plus, based on the cockpit, what is Shin piloting? Isn't that Z95 Headhunter from Clone Wars and precursor to X-Wing?
I have noticed the similarity in Jedi Survivor as well, because two of the Cal's resistance fighters pilot these ships
and they take the Clone Wars design (Long canopy with two stripes) rather than the Legends one (A-Wing canopy).
The cockpits look identical when seen from inside.

I must admit I had similar thoughts, and there is definitely a precedent set now in Survivor...
But to keep it vague and non-spoilery, if I'm not mistaken I thought it was said by someone at SWC that Baylan had survived Order 66 and the mystery was where he came from, not when... or something to that effect.

I do think I'll start a SPOILER thread for Jedi: Survivor, though, because I'm looking forward to some discussion on all of that.

Please do start the topic, there is not much gamers on this forum I guess and I miss the same discussions that we have around the main media in video games.

Anyway, looking forward to find out about Baylon in three months!
But seeing what happened in Jedi Survivor around the lightsaber color, I wonder if that will be the same for Baylon and Shin and wonder what their motivations are. I have heard countless things from Den of Nerds, but I take these informations with grain of salt, as I hope mostly, that the situation in Lucasfilm is not as dire as reported, but well, the indicators do not hint at positive side of things.

 

SW-Theory is pretty based most of the time. SW-Meg is ok.



The rest are mostly annoying.

 

The only source that I trust for years and is on point most of the time is Making Star Wars.
I got to Den Of Nerds recently based on recommendation from fellow fans.
I am more interested in rumors/leaked info rather than fan theories... for those I am coming here XD

SW-Meg seem to be a partner of Making Star Wars/Jason Ward these days, and her videoes tend to be summaries on what JW has been recently discussing.

MSW definitelly possess legit sources. Beware though that JW -- his own attempts at victim shaming and reframing the narrative notwithstanding -- appears to be an absolute creep.

Incom probably used as many similarly stamped-out parts as they could in order to economize. The Empire certainly did.
