I am a fan, for sure, I did like TLJ a lot, have a lot of nitpicks with TROS, but I am not in the camp of Disney ruined my childhood...
Because I am super hyped, altho, I have to ask with the Thrawn stuff and everything, what was the point of sequel trilogy doing nostalgic rethread and not introducing anything more epic and grander in scale into the galaxy, as we now have this!

Can't wait for Mandalorian tmrw and with all the leaks going around, Ahsoka has everything on paper to be a blast and if Filoni's movie explores the conflict that we are heading into, Sequel Trilogy happening circa 20 years after Mandalorian S3 feels like a fart in the sea.
But I feel they will definitely tie the gap together and have a strong faith in the Story Group as I enjoy the new EU immensely.
Really great time to be a fan.

 

When Plagueis returns, it will be the greatest Star Wars story ever told. ​

 

Disney's initial reboot of the SW film franchise was a deliberate and calculated corporate decision to 'hedge its bets.' I thoroughly enjoyed TFA but it was carefully crafted to give us a newer version of the original Star Wars. So the notion of further exploring the GFFA for exciting new species, and new planets, and new adventures was the furtherest thing from Disney's mind at the time.

Just like The Clone Wars enhanced the perception of the PT films, the Mandalorian is about 'explaining' all of the head-scratching decisions that were made in the STs.

Given Dave Filoni's role in TCW, it's fitting that he'll once again be doing the heavy lifting in 'resetting the stage' for the STs.

 

All I know is, we're in for fun ride with Baylan Skoll....​

 

I absolutely loved him in HBO's Rome as Titus Pollo, and Blackbeard in Starz's Black Sails.

 

He was great as Frank Castle as well.

As a comic book fan, I never got around to seeing his Punisher, I must correct that.

I still own my first and only copy of Heir to the Empire. The hard cover trilogy is still on my bookshelf. DF is a true fan, cherry-picking from Legends, Filoni is Legendary.

When Ahsoka said "Heir to the Empire" in the trailer, I knew this is where it all begins... epic and shocking... can't wait for his film.

 

Before I knew who Ray Stevenson was, I knew his Punisher.... as a fellow old school comic fan, I think that you are in for a nice treat. I found myself nodding a lot, like, yeah that's right - lol - War Zone's Punisher is considered by many Castle purists to be the one (can't wait to hear what u think of the actual plot). I've seen almost everything Ray's done since then. So yeah, I will say no more about the BIG Pun in the puddle pf mud until you've seen it with your own two.

 

He has been in allot including the MCU, I believe Thor?
I've been collecting comic books all my life, but now I'm taking actual art classes devoted to comic book storytelling, both my instructors work for the industry.
One of them worked for Heavy Metal Magazine, or Metal Hurlant for the European audience.
His art is nothing but amazing, anywho, film is what inspires these guys to do their work. While we draw in class he talks about his favorite films, awesome class.
I'll bring up Stevenson's Punisher and get his take as well.

If you follow the auction houses, there was a recent sale of Fantastic Four #15 that went for 20K and the comic store owner who sold it, is my client.
I saw the same issue the other day and it was listed for 33K on Ebay - lol.

I mentioned the 3 films to the same comic guy and he's a big fan of the TV Punisher - which I have not watched - but he agreed, Ray Stevenson was spot on with his portrayal.

@Lord of the Rens was on the right track, only Earth-bound and human produced.

 

Still lacks a couple of bits from the "other" Ahsoka trailer shown at SWC, but most of the Sabine stuff is in there, I think Pretty good! (Also, one shot was reversed, I think... when Ahsoka fights Baylan Skoll and puts the leg out behind her; that was mirrored/flipped for some reason)
