I am looking forward to what surprises the story will have. I did like all the original Zeffo stuff, it was cool and made the galaxy bigger and sometimes I felt that they have managed to better make me believe, that lot of big things can happen in parallel as the galaxy is vast, which I sometimes struggle with in the shows, as the smaller budget clearly shows sometimes.

Connecting this game with High Republic is cool, as that means lot of cool stuff on screen before the Acolyte comes. So I would be looking and expecting more connections with High Republic and the Ep. 3–4 era than tie ins to Ahsoka and whatever happens after Endor.
But there might be interesting parallels for sure.

 

I will guess that the Baylan came thru the WBW, ending up in the Unknown regions(or whatever we are calling them) in a time jump from long ago(like the old Republic) and arrived around the same time as Thrawn & Ezra did. He then turned into a Dark/Grey Jedi for reasons not yet revealed, met & trained Shin.

 

No, please, no time travel in Star Wars!

The moment you introduce actual time travel, there is no longer any consequence to anything that happens. Everything can be changed, in-universe, down-the-line, and it won't even be a retcon. Do that and it will instantly delude the power and majesty of Star Wars.

If a character HAS to be from the olden days, then freeze 'em in a stasis thing, or whatever, and let 'em awake, Ripley-style, in the present.

 

Yeah, full nope to the Star Wars time travel thing.

I don't remember much about The World between Worlds (need to watch Rebels again) but if it's a world that works only for itself, where characters only can appear there, without interacting with the rest of the world (only with who have the power to enter there), that's fine.

In Star Wars we have enough in resurrecting characters XD

Can't wait to see how they manage this thing, cause it seems will have some protagonism.

Not happy with the quality of the original(s) when enlarged, even when vectored.

They look OK on the lap, but are pure bantha ass on the TV. Just no.

 

Yellow was mostly known for Jedi Temple guards, correct? So maybe Baylan was a Temple Guard and fled off-world during Order 66 and ended up in the unknown regions. Without a Sith influence, his kyber didn't bleed like say, the Inquisitors' and took on the orange color via his Dark Side tendencies. If you look at his blade, the color is more solid throughout, as opposed to most blades which are almost white at their center.

 

Those blades are Blood Orange, bro.

Not disagreeing, I'm willing to bet that Mister Middle Ground will have zero problems cutting anyone down, who refuse(s) to get out of his way. Can't shake the Jedi taint, I guess: try diplomacy then resort to the old hack n slash. Force tantrums and ill fated leaps, not required.

 

GL didn't like the idea of grey Jedi... maybe Dave Filoni sees things differently... who knows... we'll see in August...

Is Thrawn really coming back (with no regard for Palpatine's status} as Heir to the Empire?

Probably both.
Palpatine is dead, after all. There is no need to think of him or his status since 99.9% of the Galaxy has no reason to think he is an option. I like the idea of Thrawn existing outside of the Palpatine loyalists and the future First Order. Putting him at odds with much of the Imperial Remnant as well as the New Republic gives a lot of depth to the Galaxy-wide tension in this era.

 

With cloning tech, Palps can somehow return... hehe.
