No trolling? It’s the very epitome of a troll post. If you can’t take the time to explain the reasons why you feel the way you do about the show, its nothing but gaslighting.

Why don't I like the show? I don't like how Kenobi, Leia & Vader are written and I find the new characters uninteresting for the most part, terrible acting, terrible action, forced messaging, it feels and looks cheap, forgettable score (subjective) I'm just listing things off the top of my head. I honestly think it's a laughably bad series, and I know many other people feel the same way, but on the other hand people like yourself enjoy it which is nice to hear.

Their are plenty of good reviews on YouTube etc. that some up why I don't like it, while also giving praise where it is due. I've been listening to the efap podcast recently which sums up a lot of my issues with recent Star Wars projects, I'd recommend giving those guys a listen if you haven't already because they're great at dissecting stories/writing, I tend to agree with them a lot.

There you go. Was that so hard? :)

Gaslighting language that at least provides some context gives other posters something tangible to react to. Didn’t they teach you this in mod school or did you ‘pull a Grogu’? ;) :)

Was Obi-Wan feared by the Tuskens?

It was the Krayt dragon they were fearful of that they mistakenly thought they heard was on its way.

there was one story in the Myths and Fables book, The Knight and the Dragon. Which I Believe the author said it was meant to connect to obi-wan? Granted, it’s Myth, take that as you will ;)

but yes. Probably the Krayt Dragon they were afraid of. Though then they might not have fled when they saw the cloak, so there’s a layer there as well.

They thought he was a Weredragon. Or a Werekrayt. I don't know what they call them. I'm not the expert.

Rather like TROS...I'll never forget Terrio saying he 'wanted to make the film his eight year old self would have liked.' Somewhere along the line he forgot his 'eight year old self'.....wasn't going to be paying to see it.

Haha yeah. I always felt like the Tuskens maybe couldn't see him at all from where they were and figured it's just us the audience and R2 D2 from his vantage point who see him. But I dunno, a quick look at the clip and it does seem staged to look like the Tuskens might see him too? Maybe they can only see movement through those masks!

To be fair, the movie itself never mentions krayt dragons so Obi-Wan is just making a scary noise. What it is is never explained, so maybe @Boss Vos has a point.

I can't remember where I first heard about what the sound was, but isn't it 'word of god'? Might be on the DVD commentary?

I'm sure some of us have noticed similarities in Obi-Wan to the SW movies - I thought the 4th episode in particular was evocative of, well, episode IV (ANH) - so for fans of the structural and narrative parallels between the SW movies and ring theory and the like, Screen Rant have made this observation about the Obi-Wan series:

Each Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode Perfectly Mirrors Every Star Wars Movie

"Each episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi mirrors one of George Lucas' Star Wars films... (the series) adopts classic beats from the main Star Wars movies. In fact, each episode is a homage to one of George Lucas' films."

    https://screenrant.com/obi-wan-kenobi-episodes-star-wars-movies-same-story/

They break down each episode so far and how they compare to GL's saga movies.

I love the callbacks and the way they are spaced out in episode order. I think saying that each episode "perfectly mirrors each film" is pushing it a bit.

The Screen Rant article only connects the Obi-Wan episodes to the original GL saga, but I couldn't help observing some parallels with TFA while watching the first episode.

Like Rey, Obi-Wan is a loner in the desert, working to earn credits and eke out an existence, communing and dealing with one of the diminutive desert scavengers of their respective worlds. We even see him cook up one of those instant meal things.

Oh, and the carcass they're carving up for meat looks remarkably like... a ray. See what they did there? :p

That plus his mindset is similar to Luke's in TFA/TLJ.

I've noticed the similarities as well. The problem I have with Luke in the Sequel Trilogy is that I find details that led him to this mind set rather confusing and not well written.

Obi-wan dug up his hidden lightsaber, not toss it away.

Obi-Wan also unquestionably sent a Jedi off to die by refusing to help him which, as far as I'm concerned, is a far bigger sin than refusing a lightsaber. We can play this game for a long time, the fact is there are undeniable similarities.

Sent him off to die??!? The Obi-wan i watched gave him advice to save his life.
They were both emotionally shattered, i'll give you that. But that's were the similarities end. Unlike RJ's depiction of Luke Skywalker, Obi-wan never shirked his responsibilities to hide away.

Eventually. After Organa twice begged him to and Kenobi, having been told to keep away by Owen, realised he had nothing better to do.

It was buried because he's on a populated planet. Not on an isolated planet that only he knows the location of. And isn't trying to discourage the young person who has come to him thinking he will just take the weapon and go on an adventure. Although he did try to discourage other Jedi and told them to discard of their sabers in the same manner he did.

They were also buried in order to directly connect the series with the ending of TROS.

"I'm not a Jedi any more. We're losers. The Jedi are over. It's in the past. Give up. Go away."

That advice might have saved Rey's life. If she'd taken it from Luke. Instead Ben Solo saved her life

Devoting yourself to looking after one person, at the expense of others, is not a Jedi's responsibility. It's the opposite of their responsibility.
