    It might be a subtle nod by the costume designer. I would pay big money to sit down with Michael Kaplan for a couple of hours to ask him about everything he's done with TFA, as well as Abrams' Trek movies and Blade Runner.

    It depends on point of view. Thats why I like this concept, it introduces a more complex morality to SW universe (not just black and white).

    If she ends up being Luke's daughter, and I believe she will, it's more likely that Luke thought she was dead. Of course, he originally thought his father was dead and we know how that turned out...

    If his friend Sarco Plank(I'm assuming they become friends) takes her from Devaron(assuming thats where the Jedi Academy is) after the attack by the knights of Ren then Luke wouldn't sense her on the planet since she was gone. Just an idea

    Which plays into my theory that perhaps Luke and Rey are not "training" on Skellig in Ep8, and that Rey may have some major and complex "daddy issues" that need to be resolved before her journey to a Jedi is complete. Not to get off topic but think about her taking on Luke in an all out light saber battle, the granddaughter of Anakin vs. the son of Skywalker. I predict by the time this trilogy is complete that her prowess with a light saber/staff will be legendary.

    A rumor that supports Rey being Han and Leia's daughter is that "special conversation" about what happened in the end of the film. It doesn't otherwise sound right if she's talking about Luke and Luke hasn't supposedly appeared in the movie yet. I don't necessarily subscribe to the rumors, but that's my 2 cents.

    Ridley still hasn't denied being Han's daughter. She was asked again at D23. She gave no reaction.

    She was also asked a simple question about Han Solo "how does Rey feel about Han" and said "wait and see".

    I don't expect it, but it would not suprise me if Rey is revealed as Han and Leia's daughter in trailer. If not, it will be in post-release TV spots.
