I think so too, based on the EW quote about how she wears goggles because of some kind of power her eyes have. I also think she's in some kind Force induced trance from using her power when she's saying that line - because she is seeing with the Force.

I think it matters when the dialogue is said. Let me flip it, since no one buys my reasoning. What do you think the dialogue was meant to convey?

Was the syncing of dialogue in the first trailer similarly meaningless?

I love this idea. If she fights it can be call back to the blind swordsman trope.

I know it could be. I didn't say it couldn't. Rey can still be a skywalker and can still be related to no one. I feel like I put this in each of my post.

I'm going to drop it. I feel unable to generate an interesting conversation.

I'm sorry but that is incorrect. Hazel is an eye color, one of the four basic eye colors. http://www.allaboutvision.com/conditions/eye-color-chart.htm
Because of this, it can be noted on one's form of identification- for example, a driver's license. It has a very complicated inheritance pattern.

When you get right down to it, there is only one kind of pigment in the eye- brown. All the shades have varying degrees of melanin, and refract light at different angles to produce the color. Blue has the least melanin, and very dark brown (almost black) has the most. All eye colors are between these two. There is, in fact, no blue or green pigment in anyone's eyes.

Eye color does not have a straightforward inheritance pattern. In general, one is less likely to have darker-eyed children from lighter-eyed parents, but not impossible. Both my parents have blue eyes, and my two siblings have blue eyes, but mine are hazel. That doesn't mean there was a milk man involved! I married a brown- eyed man and we have blue, green and hazel-eyed kids.

So, in terms of figuring out who's eyes look like whose, although they might be trying to send us a message regarding Rey's eye color, in real life, it wouldn't matter very much.

    It is not.

Hazel eyes are just shade of brown (or green according to some ) eyes.
Only 3 main eye colors are brown, blue and green.

Many different countries in the world do not even have a term ''Hazel eyes''.

As for eye color pigments there is actually two in human eyes.

    Black and yellow pigments.
Combination of these pigments cause different eye colors and shades.

Blue eyes do not have any or very little pigment.
Green eyes have alot of yellow pigment
Brown eyes have alot of black and yellow.

Green eyes are rarest eye color ( the most recent mutation ) . Only 2% of people in the world have green eyes.

It doesn't matter if some countries don't have hazel eyes. If they exist in other countries, then they exist.
But whatever. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. At any rate, it makes no difference. You can't tell inheritance based on eye color.

Dear Lord. I have hazel eyes and it's what's on my driver's license. They are greenish brown but neither completely brown nor completely green. Sometimes they appear more green and sometimes more brown. But stand me next to my brother who has brown eyes and you can tell we have different eye colors. Same with someone who has green.

They exist only as a shade, not as main color.
Hazel is not color it i a shade.

Also only english speaking countries in the world use term ''Hazel eyes''.

I am not sure if this has been discussed--but I believe Maz's comments about the "Force calling..." are telepathic, and occur at some time during the final battle of Act 3. Its the "Use the Force Luke...let it guide your actions" Obi Wan to Luke moment for Rey, and probably where she saves an overmatched Finn and holds her own against Kylo Ren.

If your eyes are greenish, then they are green.

Every blue, green or brown eyes are different.
    There is many different shades.
Green eyes can be light green, emerald green, olive green, blue-green, greyish green ect..

    It is really simple.

I think that Maz Kanata can have force visions. Anakin also had force visions ( his mother death, Padme death ).
Maybe Maz visions are much more evolved.

    Also maybe Maz knew Anakin.

What if Maz was a pod racer on Tatooine. She actually looks like pod racer to me.
I think that she sees Anakin and Luke eyes in Rey.

Thanks for letting me know what color my eyes are when they've been recognized by the government on official documents as hazel. I'm telling you they are both green and brown and can't be classified as either. Hence, the hazel designation.

In every other country in the world they would be classified as green if they are in any shade of green.

Green and brown is very easy to distinguish IMAO.
