    Both Ridley and Boyega said that they auditioned over the course of 7 months. It just happens that Rey and Kylo Ren were cast earlier in February 2014.

    Is she? That's who they are showing on screen at the time. But just as the Infinity commercial and the scene where Chewie seems like he is detonating the bombs ...I have heard that they are editing the trailers so as not to reveal much if any of the real storyline.

    I didn't get that impression at all. I feel your concern because many of us suffer from what I like to call the prequel syndrome.

    They could have been testing the chemistry and acting prowess in different scenarios that reflected key scenes in the screenplay.

    Cara Delavingne is a model & actress who has made it known she would love to be in Star Wars, and she even posed with Jabba at a public Star Wars exhibit. Whether she is really in the movie, is not clear. Some fans think that's her there in that official group picture with a Hutt, as Bazine Netal. However there is no official confirmation of that and neither Bazine or Star Wars is listed on her IMDB site, for what it's worth.

    She's pretty famous in the UK. Much better known than Daisy was, I believe.

    I tend to think Kate Fleetwood is playing any one of those Rebel roles listed on MSW's character list. She could very well be the woman pictured in the background here (found on Reddit). Or maybe she's the "bus stop mother"? Or perhaps "Dr. Kalonia"? I feel like Dr. Kalonia will be a character seen in the med-bay, treating Finn, when Rey goes to visit him.

    Wow. The "Daughter of Luke" votes have surpassed the "Daughter of Han and Leia and Sister of Kylo" votes. Pretty impressive since when I joined it was overwhelmingly the latter.

    I kind of think it's opening a real Pandora's box if they should cast someone so famous for a small role. It threatens to overwhelm the character, and take viewers out of the moment, not to mention what could happen on the set. But stranger things have happened, I suppose.

    Odd that Rey's mom is not on that list, or is she under a code name? Young Luke, is, after all, listed as being in the flashback. Why not her?
