Not all British people sound the same. I'm British and I sound nothing like Daisy when I speak. She's all posh and hoity toity. I'm northern and from Yorkshire, (ee by gum!)

Although I don't say them words either :p

Yeah when I heard her voice for the first time (her ASL Ice bucket challenge video) I almost cringed lol
Her voice was like British nails on an American chalk board.

There is a way to speak without an accent but it's apparently a hard skill to master.

See, I was born and raised in Texas. I do not have a "Texas" accent. I have an American accent, which is very generic. There are so many different accents within the American accent. There's midwest, southern, northeast, california, louisiana, northern...and I know that the same goes for english accents. I would say the "proper" way to speak that people refer to, especially in a Star Wars movie, is the generic accent. I personally think it'd be weird to hear people saying "y'all" and "fixin' to" in a Star Wars movie because I would wonder how that character grew up in the American south.

Same goes for English accents. I would wonder why some are cockney and some are liverpool...ian? I'd rather have the easiest accent for English speakers to understand.

I can guarantee there are some people who have no idea what "Fixin' to" means.

Both pretty heavy. Gleeson's is also pretty thick. I would be surprised if we don't have at least one of them speak naturally. I'd say Boyega speaks normally. There's something I like about his voice that way.

Right and it depends on who you're takling to. I've talked to some who say I have a "southern" accent while others say I have a "northern" accent.

The only identifier people can detect when I speak is that I use y'all. But I don't have a drawl like some southerners. Though I grew up in Houston which is by no means a traditional "southern" city. More of a metropolis.

Lol that's funny because I wouldn't say Ohioans have a Northern accent...certainly not a southern accent.

The Ohio accent is the hard "A" in words . Instead of saying a word like "Have" they say it like "Heave" or "Jacksonville" like "Jeaksonville"

Some of my family lives in Mentor and they do it. Anyway....I wonder if Rey has a Tatooine accent which sounds like as a whiny youngster apparently. "But it's a whole 'nother year!!"
