Ok that leads me to confirm she is a skywalker even more if Directors and Kennedy are saying Episodes have always been about the Skywalkers.

Ben solo is the darkside Rey Skywalker is the lightside.

So that leaves out the Kenobi theory. WHY? because we don't know any Kenobi off springs, thus no one we've never met.

Second clue is from Kennedy herself. She has said the episodes are about the SKYWALKER family.

Third clue comes from TFA itself. The darkside and the lightside statements. What's it mean? Simple Ben solo = darkside Rey skywalker = lightside.

Fourth clue is family conflict. OT = father and son. ST = Cousins.

"Someone we've met before" And since Rey is like Luke's age in TFA as he was in AH. And we know 30 year time span episode 6 and 7.

List of possibilities?
1.Vader = Dead
2.Palpatine = Dead
3.Boba Fet = Dead
4.Han Solo-Leia = Maybe but then why didn't they know who she was?
5.Luke Skywalker = Ding ding ding ding ding we have a winner and most only likely answer.

 

Tha quote in NO way says that her father is someone we met. That being said she is probably a Skywalker.

 

A bit off topic, but when I watch the scene of Unkar Plutt offering 60 portions for BB-8, Rey looks down at him and says the droid isn't for sale. The way she looks at him made me wonder. Was Rey "traded" to Unkar Plutt? Maybe whoever was raising her made a deal with Unkar for passage off the planet, which is why little Rey is freaking out and Plutt is holding her back. Maybe that's why she couldn't sell BB-8. It would also parallel Anakin and Watto's relationship. Rey isn't a slave, but she kind of is or she won't eat.

Why is people taking this quote literal? We don't even know if that sentence was related to Rey's parenthood, plus he's not saying he won't invent any character. This is what I interpret: "What's interesting is that, as I'm directing a third part of a trilogy, I'm not setting up the story and the characters. I'm just trying to honor what JJ and Ryan have created."

I still think it would be a little bit too convenient for Han Doll and Leia to be Rey's parents ...

 

Do we know if Han and Leia have been with each other continuously since RoTJ? Is is possible that Rey could be Han's daughter, but not Leia's? Could Han have had a daughter by some other FS person? I mean odds are this is Luke's daughter, I know that seems to be the prevailing theory, but if she is Han's daughter by another, you can still have a Brother Sister conflict, still have the Skywalkers central to the storyline (via Ben and Luke) and explain some of the affinity and parallels between Han and Rey.

But of course this only works if Han and Leia aren't together at some point.
