I don't know it it has been raised, but when Rey saves BB-8 and ask its mission, she replies something like: Classified? Me too, big deal.

It might mean she knows that she is somehow hidden in Jakku. What can this mean?

I noticed this also and thought it was in reference to her waiting on her 'family' to show up. That they were the ones who hid her there.

Anyone else got a better frame of reference??

Maz; "You know who ever you're waiting for, is not coming back" [...] "but there is someone who still can"
    Rey: "Luke"

Makes it very clear doesn't it. Rey's mom is not coming back. She died (Luke is standing next to her grave stone). Luke is her father, 'big secret'! ;) I love it! The music made that clear to me.....

I've always felt the entire point was to indeed Luke being the father, but I was thinking it more as a group of individuals i.e., a complete multiple member 'family'. But coupled with that Maz quote, you're right, I think its reference to a singular person... the mom!

Not clear at all. Maz said "whoever you are waiting for", not your parents. Who was Rey waiting for is the question.
When Maz says "the belonging you seek is not behind you, but ahead". She is referring to becoming part of the Jedi. To accept the call from the force and find Luke and bring him back. When Luke saw someone WANTING to be a Jedi, it would bring him back. Nothing there seems to indicate Luke is her father. It doesn't mean he's not, but this sequence doesn't point to it.

"A profound and personal tragedy" – that sounds more like a death in the family than your only son gets brainwashed and turns to the dark side. I still lean to her being a Solo. Star Wars characters aren't the brightest in the galaxy when it comes to realizing that the guy you just kissed is actually your twin brother, or that guy with the interrogation droid and who just froze my boyfriend is actually my father.

I know what she says. You are adding your own words here. "The belonging you seek isn't behind you, but ahead". Being a part of A FAMILY and HER FAMILY are two different things. Luke and the Jedi represent belonging to something bigger. Not her being reunited with her father.

Yet that is no where explained in the movie. You should judge it by means of the information the movie provides you. That is how the writers think. Perhaps the concept of Jedi as family and actual family as in kin have merged with Luke's new order. Everything points to her being a Skywalker, the music, the plot, the themes, the motifs, the tropes. The dialogue between Maz and Rey fits this perfectly I reckon.

While I think she is related to Luke, let's not forget she's also the hero. Regardless of parentage, they have made a point to use the hero motifs of the original films to highlight Rey as the new Jedi hero. The new hope so to speak. The symbolism works for either Solo or Skywalker. Remember, she's very much an hybrid of Han and Luke. She's piloting the Falcon, finishing Han's sentences, Chewie's new bestie, etc.

If she turns out to truly be non-related to the Skywalker lineage, then JJ and company intentionally misled the audience just to give us a "twist", which in my opinion is a horrible choice of storytelling.

It's amazing how far technology has come. Glad to see more with Rey and the lightsaber been included.

This part of little Rey being on Jakku with Unkar Plutt isn't accounted for in either MSW scene list or the MillenniumFalcon.com scene list.

Aww what a cute little one xxx

Also the young child scene, that was interesting. Jason was convinced there was no images or known actors of a child in his breakdown. I was delighted to see his was wrong but when did Jason say the filming had finished? The little girl was only signed to an agency back in October 2014 so am guessing this scene was either one of the last shots filmed or did JJ add the shot afterwards? If it was afterwards was this one of the shots Rian Johnson wanted included?

Well we now know her encounters with both did not result in her saying ''hi mom & dad''

MSW has said they believe Rian Johnson may have even directed a couple of small scenes. This may be one of them.

Exactly I knew when Han first laid eyes on her that there no instant hug, apology on his part or resentment or anger on her part, she was excited to know him.
