It seems even that Japanese article is stating that Daisy IS the heroine.

I was thinking today that maybe Han doesn't know who Rey is when he first meets her as maybe he thought she had been killed in an attack when she was young but at Rose's pub, it's revealed who she is and that MVS was caring for her.

 

I guess he was to pre-occupied with becoming a jedi I don't think the jedi masters were in a buy out moved, since they knew he missed his mother in TPM Anakin could not afford to concern them about his loyalty to the order.

 

How could Luke destroy the DS?

"Was quite young when she lost her parents. With no other family, she was forced to maker her way alone in a tough, dangerous town. Now 17 she has become street smart and strong. She is able to take care of herself using humor and guts to get by. Always a survivor, never a victim, she remains hopeful that she can move away from this harsh existence to a better life. She is always thinking of what she can do to move ahead."

Were going to have to get used to the idea that Rey is already pretty badass compared to how Luke and Anakin were when we first met them...

But seriously - she's a character already forced to have to live outside of her comfort zone. Sure she's obviously going to be taken to situations way beyond that, but it seems she is already self-sufficient and confident in a way that Luke and Anakin were not.

 

Remember this about what Daisy's dad said about her character

"Half royalty and half action hero"

Did she tell her dad that she is playing the daughter of Han and Leia? Who both fit that description, Han the action hero, Leia the royalty hero. Merge the two and you get Half royalty and half action hero.

Another clue.
Daisy was sitting between Harrison and Carrie at the reading picture. This has to be a dead give away that she's their daughter?

She was close in talking with Carrie a lot on stage at this recent star wars celebration. This a hint she spent time with Leia in the film, as her daughter?

I was thinking about this tonight about Rey and Kylo.

- In TFA, it's revealed that Rey IS Han's daughter that was presumed dead.
- Kylo finds out that the dark side "has the power to stop people from dying" yet he wants the power to get revenge on Han and Leia for betraying him (their first child) and leaving him for dead.
- In the scene where Kylo confronts Han and kills him, Rey's on a hill top so can only watch the interchange but can't hear what they're saying. She's completely traumatised by what she's seen.
- At the end, she discovers she is Force sensitive.

Then in Episode VIII...
- Rey is torn between the dark and the light side. She wants vengeance for her father's death.
- During a one-on-one battle with Kylo, she screams "You killed my father!!" to which he responds "He was my father too!" She is completely stunned by this revelation. Kylo continues "He left me for dead, yet what happened to you? (taunting her) Daddy just had to save his precious little girl."

 

Rey holding a very Han like blaster in her concept art. Finn had the saber in his. Not sure if it means anything but I find it really interesting she isn't holding a staff and has a blaster like Han's.

 

Not that interesting if you have been following MSW rumors.

Last MSW mentioned of Rey being a solo they said they didn't think so.

"Rey does not appear to be a Solo or a Skywalker. There’s a short sequence where Rey and Finn are going to steal a ship. They look at the Falcon, have a “what hunk a junk” moment, look towards a fancier ship and find out it doesn’t suit their needs, and then decide to use the Falcon. Well, if Han Solo is your daddy you surely have heard of the Millennium Falcon. It’s the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs. Both Finn and Rey have clearly never seen or heard of the ship when they encounter it. However, she does impress Han Solo by fixing the Falcon intuitively. Its not far off from Han’s ability to hit the cockpit like Fonzi and make the machine work.

At this point, if you want my honest opinion, I think Kylo Ren is the character most likely to have a connection to the classic characters. Still anything is possible. It is inferred Ren has a past with Solo whereas no one else seems to."

Am not sure that is MSW latest view:

'I also think its interesting that Kylo sits in the chair that belonged to Han Solo but it ends up belonging to Rey. I’m sure I’ve written this before but there are just those moments that make me want to write Rey and Kylo are brother and sister, the children of Han Solo and Princess Leia. It might be in my reading of it. But I’m leaning towards that being the story here, especially after that flashback sequence, as confusing as it may be.'

Even still no one including MSW has mentioned Han's blaster in anyway. She hasn't been seen in any teaser with anything but that staff too.

BTW I am of those who think they are brother and sister.

 

Either way, MSW doesn't know if she is a Solo or not, because their "material" contains no dialogue - it's all speculation on their part.
So far as the blaster is concerned, I wouldn't read too much into it, personally - seems like there were lots of variation in the concept art that has been described or seen, with regards to who was holding a saber, what colour it was, who had blasters, who had what helmet etc.
Finn's concept from Celebration has a saber, but we haven't seen a photo of him with one yet. However, the final design of the jacket he wears in the movie has the little loops which hold the saber from the artwork incorporated...

 

That's true, am not sure if the leaked images of the prototype action figures have Han type blasters. Its been speculated her hand positioning suggest blasters but others have said it maybe the staff or something double handed. That leak also suggested Finn's hand were molded for the sabre.

 

Kylo has what I would call saber grip. Rey has pretty neutral grip. Finn has one obvious trigger finger and one neutral. There's no blaster present.

 

That blaster sure looks familiar

 

You know, that makes me wonder. Those little loops seem like it's purpose is to hold a saber. This is something obviously built in because I doubt that Finn will stop to do some sewing and make this loops. My point I'm making supposedly according to MSW this jacket actually belongs to Poe. Makes me wonder if Poe owns a saber or is accustomed to carrying around a saber that would make sense for him to have this saber holding design on his jacket?
