Just pointing out that we have next to no evidence still that Rey is Force sensitive. All we think we know is speculation from shot lists. I think she might be force sensitive but I am still skeptical.

In the last two trilogies, Padme and Leia did have action scenes but they were nothing more than the romantic interest and to provide emotional support. It's time for something different. If there are plenty of movies now where the protagonist is a woman, why can't Star Wars?

Good point Revanite. I believe this plot moves very fast, and if Rey turns, it will be in VIII. I am firmly convinced that she is not only force sensitive, but very, very strong in the force.

 

That's what you look like when you're getting scolded by your dad for stealing his wheels - at gunpoint no less...

Although - do the computers in the background match up to something in the Falcon - or is this an imperial computer panel we're looking at behind her?

 

Because she has to be.

 

I wonder why it's always a family loss that drives these characters.

 

Speculation based on speculation. Can we go deeper?

 

I can't see Luke dying. I think a big part of the trilogy will be about Luke's efforts to carry out Obi-Wan and Yoda's final wishes ... that he spread what he learned and rebuild the Jedi Order (only better this time.) That's just my opinion of course.

This! I like this infinitely more than the mission being to return the saber. As @Pomojema mentioned somewhere else ... Luke is the Macguffin more so than the saber (which is more symbolic.)
