That's by far my favorite set! And it will never be opened. Not so much out of possibly affecting it's collector value, but because it's a perfect diorama with background scenery and props just like it is. I love the table with the holographic Leia, and the version of Ben that comes in this set is by far the best.

    New additions this morning:
    - Kylo + Stormtrooper Black series
    - 18" Kylo
    - Electronic Kylo saber for my son.

Note for anyone in Australia, having a look around this morning there isn't a lot of volume of stock around in most retailers so might need to be quick and the ranges differ between. I was first in door at Toys R Us this morning and they only had 1 of each Black Series Figure. I grabbed mine and the dude behind me was gutted... image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Nice haul! I do believe that you have the honor of being the first person to post TFA toy pics in this thread.

Just about two hours to go here until Wal-Mart opens.

    Waiting patiently...

Here's my first TFA toy review-

I thought I'd start out with the Hasbro Rey Jakku Speeder w/figure Set. The set includes the Speeder, a Rey figure with 5 points of articulation, her staff, and a transparent red missile.

The speeder features a pop-up gun that fires the missile. Press the button on the cargo net once, and the gun pops up. Press the same button a second time, and the missile fires. As far as spring loaded firing gimmicks go, this one is actually pretty neat, and it works well, locking into the up/down positions solidly. The speeder also features a soft plastic cargo net with clamps to hold Rey's staff.

The small wings/airbrakes at the rear of the machine are also moveable-a nice touch. The overall quality of paint and molding of the parts is on par with earlier offerings from Hasbro. The detail is nice, and the paint is sharp. Weathering is kept to a minimum, and looks screen accurate.

The figure is a realistic looking sculpt, and the paint application is OK. It could be a bit sharper in some areas. The figure has the usual holes in the feet that mount on pegs on the foot pedals of the speeder. They are a snug fit, and are solid. Rey's staff leaves a little to be desired. It's made of a plastic that's a bit too flexible to hold shape, and the staff bends too easily.

Overall, I like this toy. It's simple, well made, and looks authentic. The only minus points for me are the figure with only 5 points of articulation, and the wobbly staff. However, those are minor issues, and overall, this is a well done addition to Hasbro's TFA collection.

    Here's the pics-

And for the 2nd TFA toy review, here's the Hasbro 3.75" Assault Walker w/Stormtrooper Sergeant set.

This set includes the Walker, and a F.O. Stormtrooper Sgt. w/blaster. The Walker is pretty basic, but nicely done. It's legs are articulated at the ankle, and where the upper leg connects to the main body of the vehicle. The joints have metal pins at the articulation points and are very solid. They hold poses well and there is an audible ratchet-like click that lock the joints securely in whatever pose you choose. The chin gun is also movable side to side.

The parts for the vehicle are nicely molded with some neat surface detail, and the paint is sharp and cleanly applied. The included figure has 5 points of articulation, and comes with a blaster that fits snugly in the figures hand or in the holster/slot on the right leg. Paint on the figure is cleanly applied, and the overall level of detail is well done.

The figure has the usual holes on the bottoms of the feet for posing on a vehicle or on display stand pegs. The floor of the Walker doesn't have corresponding pegs to attach the figure to, but it doesn't need it. The trooper's hands grip the handlebars tightly, and there is a recess on the rear portion of the Walker which the back of the figure conforms to. A very secure setup.

This is really a nicely done set. Highly recommended.

Finally fixed my customized 6" figures a proper diorama. Pretty happy with the way they came out, so I thought I'd share!

    Nice work!

Your overall paint work and detailing is excellent, the weathering is very subtle and effective, and the diorama bases really compliment the figures.

    Well done!

The Hot Wheels Elite Series die-cast SW ships begins to be released this month...one at a time almost every month into the middle of next year. Thus far, they've only revealed the classic x-wing, classic Tie Fighter, and the Falcon, with 3-5 others under wraps.

I saw the first three at Celebration Anaheim, and they're MAGNIFICENT!! @RBanks and I are both die-cast collectors and I'm sure we'll BOTH be owning them!

Here's the tiny Micro Machines, Titanium Series, and diecast Hot Wheels TFA Falcons. The Hot Wheels model is 3.5" long, the Titanium is 3" and the MM is 2" long-

If they are anything like the 1/18 scale Hot Wheels Elite car models, they will be awesome. I'm impressed with the smaller Hot Wheels ships.

Here's the HW TFA Special Forces TIE, and the OT TIE. I picked these up at the Wal-Mart Midnight event and just opened them up this morning-

Today's TFA toy review is the 6" Black Series Kylo Ren and First Order Stormtrooper.

The 6" Kylo Ren figure captures the menacing look of the actual character well. He features 21 points of articulation (PoA), and a cloth cape and hood with molded plastic secondary cape and robe which when combined replicate the drape and texture of the real costume convincingly. And of course, he comes with the cross-guard light saber. The blades are molded in a hard semi-transparent red plastic, and the blades can separate from the hilt. Unfortunately, there is no belt receptacle/carrier to attach the hilt to when not in use.

The molded plastic parts are clean and show nice surface detail with subtle areas of flat, and glossy black. The metallic grey paint app on the mask and belt buckle are sharp and look screen accurate. With 21 PoA, the figure can be placed in any number of poses, and the joints are all tight and stay locked in whatever position you choose. Both hands are a snug fit and hold the saber tightly. Overall this is a great figure, and a worthy addition to any 6" Black Series Collection.

Like the Kylo figure, the F.O. Stormtrooper also has 21 PoA and is highly poseable. The figure comes with both a blaster carbine, and blaster pistol. Either weapon fits snugly in the hands, as well as in the carrier receptacle on the right leg. The semi-gloss white plastic armor looks good, and has the color and texture of full sized armor we've seen at Celebration and in movie stills. The black paint app is somewhat messy in spots, but not bad. A few minutes with a small brush and flat black acrylic model paint will remedy that. The weapons are nicely molded, and look accurate. Despite the minor paint issue, this is a well rendered figure. Highly recommended.

Wish I had room for my whole collection, which is mostly packed away (sure many of you can sympathize).

Also, love seeing everyone's collections/FF hauls thus far!
