What you said sounds pretty good, just a question though: is there any evidence that Ren is part of the Empire? I would have thought Gwendoline Christie is the one who is the leader of the army. Ren just seems like such a loner.

To be honest, I've never really considered that he's not.
Dunno. He's supposed to be leading the Stormtroopers who torch the village that was the set photographed at Pinewood. Some of the concept art for this scene had a figure which had variations of the Kylo Ren helmet we've seen leading this attack. Others (the one leaked by mf.com) used Vader himself as a placeholder for the villain in this scene.
I always just thought the fact that he commands Stormtroopers, including Finn, makes him Imperial...

I know what you mean, but I just feel like the Empire won't be the main villain in this new trilogy. I personally believe Kylo Ren starts out good, possibly as Han's son, gets tempted by Serkis and inevitably falls to the Dark Side. He seems like a very unstable guy. I just can't see him commanding stormtroopers in a calm, quietly brutal manner. I think that GC best fits that role, from what we've heard.
I personally believe that from the moment it was rumored that Driver would be playing the "new Darth Vader" some took this to heart, and thought that this meant he would be at the head of the Empire, just like Vader. It probably actually means that he has a similar story arc to Anakin's.
Overall, I think that the person who would most likely fit the bill of commanding stormtroopers would be Gwendoline Christie. It would also make sense if she's a chrome trooper, since they are already rumored to be the self-made leaders of the weakened Empire.
Sorry if this sounds convoluted and hard to follow, but my main point is this:
    1) This trilogy is going to be about the Force, its mythology, and its main aspects (the Dark Side and the Light). Yes, the Empire will still be there, but it will be in the background.
    2) The Empire was Palpatine's creation. We have no idea how his faction (the Sith) felt about this.
    3) It would make more sense to have a greater, you could say spiritual, threat in the ST; the Empire vs. Rebellion storyline will serve as a minor storyline but play second fiddle to the conflict between the forces of Light and Dark.
    4) From what we've seen and heard, Kylo Ren appears to be an unstable, unpredictable and lonely person. It would not make much sense if he is the leader of the Empire, which requires a leader who is calm, collected, and organized. Personally, I believe that Gwendoline Christie fits this description as a chrome trooper.

Heck, I could be totally wrong about this, but that's the way I see it.

There have been a decent handful of rumors suggesting Kylo Ren as leading Imperial forces

Way more so than GC who has had virtually no rumors thrown her way

That's true, I'm just saying that I have this feeling they're going to go down a new path. Sure, the Empire is bad, but are we really just going to endure another trilogy of Rebels vs. Imperials? I mean, it's fine as a side plot, but not as the main story. Something just tells me that the Empire is not the main threat, and that Kylo is not part of it; in my opinion, it would make for a better story if he went through a transition—starting out as a good guy (maybe with the Republic) then turning to the Dark Side; it would be cool to see this especially if he is Han Solo's son.
But then again, we really don't know anything, and there's a large chance I'm far off-base. Your opinion is just as valid.

I actually feel the same way, given what little we know. Wouldn't be surprised by anything of course, but I feel the empire, whatever form it's in now, is probably run by a technocrat or military brass. I feel like any Sith that are around may make use of the empire without actually ruling its political order, if that makes sense.

Exactly. The Sith are a religious order, but the Empire is essentially a military. They are not the same and the only time they were was when Palpatine created the Empire.
From what we've heard, the Empire will be humanized and we will actually see them without their helmets. Going off of that, we probably won't think of the Imperials as a faceless evil. This is why I believe that the main villain will be a Sith who does not have any connection to the current political conflict of Rebels vs. Imperials.

Well, in my opinion, the Empire is not an Empire without an Emperor. I reckon the background is that there has been a period of "peace" whlie the bureaucrats were left in charge of the remnants of what was the Empire, then Ren surfaces and takes control... at the behest of his mysterious master...

Agreed with this -- the Empire was just a tool of power a religious order commandeered. An historical analogy would be if the Vatican orchestrated a series of crises that allowed it to seize control of various European political systems and declare the Pope an emperor (just a Dan Brown-ish example, obviously not comparing Catholocism to the Sith).

Another possibility, given the documentation that suggests Kylo Ren is commanding some storm troopers, is that he is a part of the empire, whether its military machinery or aristocracy, but is serving his own Sith (or wannabe Sith) agenda.

I hope Poe has good flying skills in TFA, great aviation moves when engaging in dogfights.

If he owns the special x-wing, then he is obviously an ace pilot.

I am not sure that he is comfirmed for Rogue One, he only talks about the force awakens and x-men.

I was kidding but I was referring to this question.

Q: They're doing these spinoffs now. Is there any possibility for your character to star in one of those?

I don't know, you're going to have to ask them about it...

Is it safe to say that BB-8 isn't Poe's droid? and it belongs to Rey? Even tho we see Poe as an X-wing pilot and x-wings use Astromech droids, I think Poe's X-wing is using a standard Astromech.

Ok we obviously know Poe is an ace X-wing pilot, but there is rumors that Poe and Finn meet each other in imperial prison of some kind to mimic a new hopes prison scenes. Do we even know his call sign? Luke's was Red 5 wasn't it? Judging by the colors I wonder if he's Orange (insert number).

What have we seen from X-wings from the movies? They attack imperials LOL. So nothing new with the force awakens.

That's his role, an ace pilot in an X-wing squad whom for some reason meets Finn in prison and they escape?
