Post credits sequence for The Force Awakens ?

I really hope there is no post-credits sequence. It would kill the vibe of the film; there is a reason that all SW films save the credits until the end, and that's to preserve the feeling of "diving" into the story. Tag sequences work well for Marvel films, or comic book films in general, because they help maintain that "comic book" feel, i.e.- "Next time, on the Avengers!..." Any relevant information in a SW flick should be presented before the credits roll and break you out of that spell.

 

I think there will be a teaser for Rogue One attached post-credits, but nothing to do with the main series.

I highly doubt there would be one, just goes against Star Wars tradition. But never say never.

 

I don't think so. It's a comic book movie thing and I love it in those films but I don't think it's Star Wars' style.

 

I would not like it at all - iirc, this is pretty much a Marvel thing, right? Even if it's not exclusively Marvel, it's now associated with Marvel. So, if there's a mid- or post-credits scene, it would look sadly derivative.

 

Maybe it's force ghost Ferris saying: GO HOME! Shooo! Get out already!

What was it? Is it new for blu-ray or the recent VOD format?

A post credit scene seems unlikely but with JJ-Disney, who can say?

Star wars never does credit scenes.
it's just not star wars.

 

The only type of post-credit scenes I enjoy are the outtakes/bloopers. If it's something of more substance, I hope they stick to their "less-is-more" motto.

 

The only post-credit I could think of that would make sense is showing a villain even more powerful than Supreme Leader Snoke - similar to how Marvel showed Thanos during the credits of the first Avengers movie.

There is a rumor that there is a post-credit scene that will help Rogue One. That is also possible I suppose if the scene is centered around a specific piece of technology as apposed to a character. It would feel odd (in my opinion of course) to introduce a character in the post-credits and then learn about his past at a future date.

 

Movie credit blooper reels died when Dom Deluise passed on, RIP Dom!

Also, Rogue One takes place in the Star Wars storyline AFTER Rebels but before ANH(1977).
It has NO connection to the ST. Zippo, nada, 0.

The Thor's post credit scene was just a teaser for the avengers. I wouldn't mind if each star wars films has a teaser for the next film at the end. I wouldn't love it, as I want to just reflect on the film I just saw, but I'd be ok with it. I don't want anything in-universe to occur though.

Star wars films usually have time jumps between them. It wouldn't work as well to have a stinger, if it won't get immediately followed up upon.
