    It seems like Force Friday is all about merchandising. We've already seen one major brand, Lego, create a Force Awakens advertisement for their product lines.

    If anything, it would make sense that the rest of the brands and retailers will be releasing their own marketing ads to drum up support for sales.

    Unfortunately, if they are anything like the Lego trailer - they have little to do with the actual plot of the movie.

    It will still be cool to see if there are any snippets or clues in the materials they used for their ads.

    My friend told me the first 75 people in line at Toys R Us are getting posters of some kind. Did not know until he told me. Maybe official movie posters or something new?

    FF is all about the merchandising. LFL/Disney won't blow their whole wad on one day...I wouldn't. They'll save the big releases each for their own event, that way it's not over-saturated all at once.....biding their time. ;)

    I don't know why people are suggesting this like the masks with voices are going to be any indication of what those voices sound like.

    Source: Go "Try Me" an Iron Man action figure that talks and see if it sounds anything like Robert Downey Jr.

    Is force Friday on a Thursday somewhere? Some here are stating it starts in less than 12 hours and where I am, it's Wednesday. I've heard of time zones, but not day zones, what are you guys talking about?!

    I'm in Brisbane, Australia, one of the most eastern Time Zones on the planet, +10 GMT, and it's only 9:15am Thursday morning.... I think +12 GMT is maximum, which would make midnight Friday just under 13 hours away.

    EDIT : I just checked. Furtherest timezone I can find is Apia Samoa, which appears to be +13 GMT/UTC.
    So it is indeed Friday in less than 12 hours... but I don't think midnight openings are really a thing over there. New Zealand is probably the earliest to have such events, but that's 12 1/2 hours away.
