Reddit, 4chan, internet spoiler board for Episode VIII

Ridley says she's know who Rey's parents are since being told while working on Episode VII. She's also admitted to lying to Boyega because when he was screen testing with her, he wasn't allowed to know she was cast already.

 

I went back to a trevorrow interview in January and he seems to be implying that rey's family is a IX plot point. I'm quite suspicious of Mr_Ghostface_Lives completely writing off X parentage theory right now when I'd imagine hardly anyone outside a core group know that answer.

As much as I don't think Luke is Rey's father either - and I don't - it's pretty silly to rule that out without knowing who her actual parents are. Even a line in the script, "LUKE: I AM TOTALLY NOT YOUR DADDY, REY, I SWEAR TO TATOOINE'S SUN GODS" doesn't necessarily mean the character was being truthful or was not speaking from ignorance.

It's like, oh, you're going to claim that x isn't the biological parent? Then you better damn well better offer up who the real biological parents are.

 

Not a recent development.

I didn't feel entirely comfortable about him in 2014 either, not beyond thinking he's some guy who goes on the Pinewood lot and whose buddies work there and gossip and speculate. I publicly compiled Plaid Harvest's posts but left Ghostface out of it despite being aware of him. It's also not good that he deletes his posts but not his account - hiding the trail while saying new stuff.

 

What makes me suspicious of his comments, probably more than the CT interview, is his initial TFA claims around Finn and Lando. If he had access to similar documents that mf.com release just before TFA came out, was Mr. ghost basing his finn comments completely off the the scene where finn tells us about being taken from parents he never knew?

Because if that is his connection, Mr. Ghost seemingly tries to find connections based off very little.

 

The fact that he says that he personally hopes Rey is related to no one special also colors any perception he has. That's also something to keep in mind.

 

Good point. So it could be further selective reading or discussions on his part.

I guess it's a wait-and-see game, hopefully we get MSW/SWNN-tier level story spoilers for VIII like we did for VII, but combining CT's interview and Mr. Ghost's lando comments, i'll take it with a grain of salt.

Maybe they minimized Carrie Fishers part due to unknown reasons.

 

Her role was short in Ep VII too, maybe she has problems with acting actions things.

 

Didn't she say she had trouble with some of her dialogue in TFA ?

 

She didn't have much than two sentences in a row.

The scenes Fisher had trouble with on the first day (but later were said to be fine) were cut from the film, Fisher said. Originally, Leia was going to be introduced earlier in the movie. They changed it so that she is introduced on Tokadana with Han Solo for the first time.

Yeah like I forget what she said exactly but it was something like how she didn't like some of her dialogue, how she was scared when shooting her scenes and she messed up

how reliable is this guy ??? he sure does claim to have a good track record with The Force Awakens. is he for real or is he just blowing smoke ??

 

It's an interesting concept image - Luke with both his green and blue lightsabers open, holding both blue and green crystals. Would look really cool if executed properly on film.

But I'm not sure about him going into great detail on the importance of the crystals themselves....that's never been a focus in any of the films. (some EU stuff yes) In the films, they are simply lightsabers, a tool used by the Jedi for defense. And of course, the Force flowing through the Jedi. But other than looking amazing and being functional, there hasn't been much given to the crystal itself...

Sounds fan-fic to me. (but just IMO)

 

He's blowing smoke. He does this with all his videos, and says he has "sources" that were right about VII but he just makes it all up.

Funny, his evidence is some old email he received from his source, instead of a video that he would have made if he actually did receive an email with all those ep. 7 details. So we are to believe that he had this Episode 7 source, yet he made no video or any blog post or comment anywhere about the spoiler he received from his source? Because if there were something that was a matter of record that's what he'd be pointing us to, instead of this fraudulent old email.
