So in my original response to @Pomojema we were talking about stuff leaking for VIII and he brought up Pablo and now your defense of Pablo is he isn't going to say anything about the ST? That's what we are talking about and he HAS said things about the ST. He says things about the ST on his own without people asking him. He is flat out trolling. I'm not sure whats confusing about it. This was my point. You can go on Wookiepedia and read stuff about canon that is already released in existing media. He trolls and does it in a completely douchey way unlike Mark Hamill.

So to clarify Pablo trolls about the ST and I'm not interested as I was talking about how I would like to see set pics or art.

Do you have a specific example? He's never said anything definitive relating to future movies. He always said he won't answer those type of questions.

 

This is one of the more popular ones. He has said several things directly related to the ST and then pulled some "from a certain point of view" crap a day later when asked again.

 

He shouldn't be trolling fans to begin with. If he is representing Lucasfilm as their head social media guy he should reflect their image. You don't see the official Star Wars Twitter feed trolling fans or heck, any of the other story group members for that matter.

 

He's said numerous times that Darth Plagueis is dead. Not sure what the issue is here.

What he should and shouldn't be doing is a matter of opinion. I don't mind it. You do. Such is life.

You you chose to read only Plagueis' name and not Snoke's. Ok.

If his word is gospel to Lucasfilm then he would have eliminated one possibility for one of the biggest mysteries of the ST.

I feel it is more the idiot fans out there that are continually asking the same question from all different sides, that anyone with half a brain knows he cant answer. Does he have the answers? yes can he reveal them on twitter 2 years before the movie ...COME ON
Stop getting butt hurt cause the guy is trying to enjoy his life and his job while still staying somewhat in contact with fans. if you don't like the way he has fun or don't like the fact he has that job, then don't follow him or look at what he writes. Believe me if he ever does write something of significance every SW media suckjob will post a link to it.
I am sure there are levels that he has to go through to know what he can speak to and what he cant to the public. in the instant world we must learn to take a breath, if he answered every question it would basically be the plot of the next few movies spelled out, what fun would that be for anyone?

 

Plagueis was always a long shot, fanboy theory. Not only because he's dead, but the stories in the movies are mostly driven by the filmmakers. The storygroup just tells them what they can and can't do based on previous canon. I doubt Rian Johnson/JJ/Kasdan even know about Plagueis.

 

Pablo is the brand communications manager of the Lucasfilm Story Group. He should be held to a higher standard by Disney/Lucasfilm and shouldn't troll fans who want to know stuff. He should basically announce that all information that isn't released he cannot share and direct people to Wookieepedia if they have questions. To me, his trolling makes him look unprofessional and I wouldn't want him working for me, regardless of how good he is at coming up with new Star Wars universe trivia.

but here is the simplicity of it...ignore his existence. His communication is in one corner of the internet. you don't have to see what he said or how he said it.

Some people might just ask him annoying questions but he puts stuff out there unprovoked so that he gets provoked. That's what pisses me off. Rian Johnson wrote VIII just like JJ and Kasdan wrote TFA. I'm pretty sure the story groups helps the actual writers of the stories to cite canon within their material and help keep continuity etc. straight. My point is, Pablo seems to be on the lower end of the story group based on the Lucasfilm website. So like I was saying in my original post on this, I think his purpose is to tease and mislead more so than provide any useful info.

Go tell that to the guys in the Plagueis thread. I recommend you wear a flak jacket.
