I'm not saying I'm a big deal I'm saying i have a sense of humor but i know when and where to use it. Also I find it a bit odd that you think being professional means you can't have a sense of humor.

 

Voxx is correct concerning Pablo. He's developed quite an attitude, and made it very apparent that he thinks SW fans (who are hungry for information) are stupid. Whether or not many of them are, is not the issue. He's a representative of an entity larger than himself. I would have fired him also.

I would disagree that you know where and when it can be used, as per this whole convo.
I would also argue just because you don't find it humorous, doesn't mean that it isn't. And further more that his conversations are detrimental in anyway to the brand. which you would have to prove to FIRE him, not just remove his community/public facing persona.

I can see I'm not making any headway here an we're helplessly off topic. Plus, I've received more negative ratings the past 2 hours than I have in six months by people who claim to have a good sense of humor. Can't make everyone laugh I guess.

It's not that I don't find it humorous its that i find it inappropriate for a public representative of a brand to actively make fun of fans of the brand he works for. @Benjamin Lewis gave the best example, "It's as if a teenager is holding a toy over a begging toddler's head while calling him a moron for crying for it."

Oh you were joking? I'll laugh then. And who said anything about a cult? I'm not saying he should be fired, I'm saying he should use some self control on when to reply to a fan asking a question instead of trolling them. It would be like the social media manager of Apple trolling every time someone asks a question about the new iPhone.

 

My beef was to cite Pablo as a substitute for leaks (photos, art as I mentioned i would like to see) is just ridiculous because A. He either contradicts what he says later regarding ST info or B. He is clearly open to blatant trolling.

I said I would like to see art or set photos. Pablo Hidalgo is nowhere near a substitute for either of these things and in my opinion is nowhere near a credible source of info simply based not just on the fact that he intentionally trolls but that he is also not allowed to share or leak anything real the way set pics or art would provide. He goes out of his way to say this himself and then still entertains the idea he is sharing info and teases people about it. Yet people continue laying under him squatting waiting for it to fall out. (sorry for that mental image)

I'm waiting for all the fake teaser stuff at the celebration to pop up. We wont even get much VIII there I bet. It'll be lots RO especially since they have to kind of extra hype it due to all the negative stuff about it floating around the internet.

 

The difference is that Pablo isn't the OFFICIAL "head social media guy;" but the official STAR WARS twitter is so he can pretty much say whatever he wants as long as he doesn't breach his NDA confidentiality agreements

I think one of the reasons for lack of information is that people really don't want it or seek it out as rabid as they did prior to TFA coming out. We just got our first Star Wars movie with the original elements in 30 years. Most people will never see that much hype for another movie in their lives, so the anticipation was over the top. Now we have an idea of where we are going and who the players are, for the most part I think. So, a lot of fans are satisfied to sit back and wait for the trailers and pics that make their way into the mainstream outlets.

I also think we'll get...something at Celebration. Maybe just a few still pics or whatever, nothing plot revealing. Maybe a title.

But that's fine for now. Part of me wants the whole script to pour over...and part of me wants to have some of this saved for the theatre. I was full spoilers last time and it was great. However...I'm considering trying to be somewhat surprised this time.

Maybe just trailers and magazine/online official pics.

 

I'm starting to think that we will get maybe a few bits of concept art and have the cast talk about their experience working on The Sequel Trilogy .

 

Part of me thinks it would make more sense for Celebration to be AFTER the movie comes out, so the cast can actually answer questions and tell stories about working on the film, rather than just saying how much they enjoyed working on it and we are all going to love it.
