Reshoots

hmmmm. Mark is officially in London. I smell a reshoot happening. lol But who knows what it's for. Maybe working around Carrie, or possibly around other scenes or to add to it. I keep my fingers crossed they don't take away or have done a Luke/Leia reunion, even if brief.

 

I think its amazing that anyone still thinks this Mike Zeroh guy knows ANYTHING about anything.

 

Not that Mike Zeroh knows anything. Reshoots are happening soon. Other social media not quoting Mike Zeroh are mentioning it.

 

Why would they cut out General Organa's scenes? I was hoping to see Leia.

I think don't listen to ANYTHING THIS THING SAYS!!! We can talk or debate whatever you'd like, but not based on anything generated from here! It's a waste of time!!!

 

Not saying that it's true, but I can imagine cutting some Leia Scenes to use them later in Ep. IX so they can make Leia survive the ST

 

Forget Mike Zeroh for a second (man that guy really makes my blood boil...): we were always going to get reshoots.

I've posted this elsewhere before though: they won't be anything major at all (unless they do plan on adding something with/about Leia, but I have my doubts about this) so it's certainly nothing to worry about. I mean, considering how far along the film is, and that Rian is planning on cutting some parts of the film to the music, I think it's more than likely just additional footage to fill out some of the already existing scenes, in the way of some pick-up shots and perhaps a line addition/alteration or two. At worst, I think they film another two or three scenes, which is certainly nothing to worry about.

But again, grain of salt, blah blah blah

 

if such a Luke&Leia reunion scene was already filmed, they may keep it for IX and do a different ending scene with reshots.

 

Regardless of all this speculation....there were reshoots on Rogue One and I enjoyed it immensely.

I trust them to do whatever to get the film right.

I know some people view late changes as a sign of trouble, but at least for Star Wars, many of the best parts have been last-minute additions. For example:
1: The scene where Obi-Wan becomes a Jedi and gets permission to train Anakin
2: Padme Holding Anakin's prosthetic hand
3: Obi-Wan picking up Anakin's lightsaber
4: The Death Star attacking the Rebel Base
5: "I know"
6: Vader's funeral

If being under time pressure sometimes generates great ideas, then "So be it, Jedi."

 

I really don't get what is the big deal all of a sudden about reshoots. Every darn film does it, for a multiple of reasons. It seems to me like much ado about nothing.

 

I'd recommend to wait and see if any big film-related websites, like "Variety," "The Hollywoo Reporter" or "Entertainment Weekly" publish any stories on that matter. If that doesn't happen or if the story seems short and uninteresting, then there's nothing to worry about. So far there's no info in these news outlets, so I remain optimistic.

 

Do we not have this debate every time, yet all the new films are still great? Trust the force =]

 

Reshoots are a normal part of the movie making process. Especially for huge monster movies like the Star Wars films. This is not a red flag.
