    Yep. I want AT LEAST some footage. We've got $2K thus far invested in tickets, airfare, hotel, car rental....and it's still 2 1/2 months away! I expect to see something.

    Here's how I see this playing out:
    • Teaser Trailer: Black Friday 2014.
    • Trailer 1: Celebration VII (which occurs just before the international release of The Avengers: Age Of Ultron) and The Avengers: Age Of Ultron.
    • Trailer 2: The 2015 San Diego Comic Con and Ant-Man (trailers usually drop shortly before the movie they get attached to, and the movie will probably need that kind of boost for a great opening weekend).
    • Trailer 3: Just in time for The Jungle Book and/or that Steven Spielberg Cold War movie (most likely the former, as the latter is a Dreamworks production).
    • Media Blitz: late October/November/early December 2015 (possibly even earlier than that if you count The Force Awakens toys hitting the market in September).
    • Spin-Off Teaser Trailer: The Force Awakens.
    Each trailer has roughly two and a half months before the release of the next one, and I'm thinking that a big event film like this is more likely to get three trailers instead of two.

    I definitely want that too. The fact they released a trailer 13 months early shows me they are going to show more stuff. Idk why you show it so early if you're going to wait 6 or 7 months to show another glimpse. Might as well wait to show the teaser

    I'm not going to lie. I kind of don't want to see it attached to a movie. I'd prefer to see it in the private of my own home where i can watch it over and over and process what i've seen. I'm probably alone in that. I watched the teaser on my Apple TV on a big screen. Anybody else have that preference?

    If you dont want to see it attached to a movie, then watch the trailer when it is reeased online (probably before or the same time the movie it will be attached to is released). If you are still interested in the movie it is attached to, then go watch the movie after you have seen the trailer online. ;);)

    No, you are definitely not alone in that, I have never gone to the Theater and watched a movie just to see a trailer, and I'm not going to this time either. I'm always waching it at home on my bigscreen TV to begin with, for the same reason as you do ;);)

    Yeah. My point is I won't be able to focus on the movie i'm seeing because I'll be thinking about Star Wars...story of my life.

    I agree. I much prefer online releases of trailers. I don't really go see movies in the theater that much anymore unless it's something I feel will be a cinematic experience. That might sound pretentious, but there is so much crap and so many remakes/rehash that I'm not apt to venture out unless I know it's something I want to see. I love Marvel, and I am planning on seeing the Avengers in the theater, but if I went on opening night and stood in line for 2 hours it would just be to see a TFA trailer. I would prefer to watch it online in my own home, rather than surrounded by a bunch of drunk Captain Americas cosplayers.

    Huh. Well, they swapped it with the release date of The Finest Hours, so that time frame still works even without the Cold War movie. I'll update the poll with that.
