RUMOR Teaser 2 Discussion Thread - Date Confirmed by Collider?

And I don't expect a second trailer until.... fall.

They have everything to lose by showing another trailer at this point.... they'll wait after Jurassic World and Avengers II.

 

Bollocks, on the contrary they have everything to gain by showing a second trailer at Star Wars Celebration and with Avengers 2. The cant lose anything by showing it at Star Wars Celebration and with Avengers 2, that is a load of crap dude.

 

Well the celebration is obviously a star wars event a next trailer should appear at it, Avengers 2 then should follow.

Maybe they will play a C7 welcome video at the beginning of C7 and it will contain unseen scenes from the film Just pure speculation, but then i guess they might as well show the second teaser trailer instead.

 

Abrams did say they'd be bringing something major to Celebration... I figure it's either a cast panel or the full trailer. My vote is for both!

 

Oooh a cast panel, I didn't think of that. I feel that will be saved for San Diego Comic-Con though.

 

Would be laughing my ass of if the socalled big way they would kick off Star Wars Celebration didnt have anything to do with Episode 7.

 

They've already anounced the cast that will be attending.

Cast panel would be pointless unless they can discuss features of the film. Otherwise you will get "Oh your going to love it", "J.J. has used a lot of pratical effects", and other things we've already heard already.

Unless the cast are given the go ahead to can reveal certain things without revealing any plot, having a cast panel would be just like sales people telling you "your going to love it..."

 

I would expect that by December when TFA is released that for the first spin-off film they not only have the full cast figured out but they also would be done with filming. This time last year they were still casting actors for TFA, and they were done with filming and able to release a trailer by the end of November.

I would expect the filming schedule for the spin off would be about a year behind TFA, just like the expected release date is.

Teaser 2 with Avengers 2.

 

Yep it's a like every movie is tagged as a possible second trailer for TFA, I think the next will be shown in Teminator Genesis premiere.

 

Maybe your right, American Sniper had the similar debut trailer as well.

 

In a spout of creativity I started envisioning my thoughts for what could be shown in the next teaser which is hopefully getting dropped at celebration. I'd imagine about two minutes tops, new footage though. Dark in tone similar to the first teaser, and I think we may get a Serkis VO again assuming he is the villain. It will be more taunting (all your efforts and sacrifice will come undone) in nature and we will be shown flashes of the OT heroes looking worried, including Luke, because I don't buy one scene wonder Luke. Music will be ominous building up to a crescendo at the end of the Serkis VO and will cut to action scenes of the new characters that won't reveal plot in any way we'd like it to but gives us secure knowledge that stuff will go boom and woosh and pow in VII. I really really want the last scene to be one of our heroes, preferably Rey igniting a lightsaber, but they could just make it mysterious hero character ignites blue/green lightsaber.

Any thoughts you guys might have on what could be in the next trailer? Remember that JJ doesn't spoil in his trailers (and there isn't a spoiler tag on here).

Also I can try to post a breakdown of what I wrote in that paragraph up there. Remember despite my fancy blue staff member badge I'm not trying to generate rumors or hints, just pure 100% speculation (I don't have any cool sources )

 

I really dig your version of the trailer; I guess mine's kind of similar.

The Force theme starts playing, softly, then morphs into a low, threatening rumble. Cut to shot of Coruscant.
ANDY SERKIS: [menacing laugh] You have no idea how long I've been waiting, how long I've been watching. Cut to shot of space battle, with X-wings and TIE fighters swooping into each other, blasters firing. But there has been an awakening. Have you felt it?
Cut to shot of Han Solo, shown from behind. He is staring mournfully at the sky, which displays a Star Destroyer, broken in two, plummeting towards the ground.
ANDY SERKIS: Such petty conflicts are these. Territorial victory is nothing compared to the power...of the Force.
ANDY SERKIS: I can feel it grow stronger, more powerful. Everything has changed...and everything will change.
Cut to shot of Leia, with fear in her eyes, holding her blaster as she tries to escape a burning Rebel base.
ANDY SERKIS: Friends will become enemies and enemies will become friends. Chaos will be unleashed, and the darkness shall gather.
Cut to shot of Luke. We can't see his face well, just snatches of it in the darkness. He is cowering, kneeling on the floor.
ANDY SERKIS: You've failed, Skywalker. You've lost...in your struggle between the Dark Side...and the Light.
Luke grapples at something; his lightsaber. The music swells, and Luke finally grabs his weapon. He ignites it, and the green glow makes his face visible for half a second. Screen goes black. Then the STAR WARS: The Force Awakens logo appears, with the iconic part of the Force Theme accompanying it.
December 15, 2015 appears for a few seconds, then disappears. For a moment, if you listen closely, you can hear deep, robotic breathing.

My screenwriting abilities are admittedly not the best; I also should give some credit to the sources of MSW for the scene where Serkis taunts Luke. So yeah, that's my version, but the actual trailer will obviously be so much better than this. Still fun to speculate, though

 

The trailer begins with a black screen and we hear a disembodied voice. A scared voice. "It p-penetrates us...it...it flows through us..." The voice trails off.

We cut to the Falcon perhaps barrel-rolling and diving.

We cut to Kylo Ren's mask being illuminated in flame.

Gwendoline's character is followed down a corridor by elite troopers. She stops and turns on her heel as we see her ignite her lightsaber as the troopers behind her have now disappeared.

We now see the first moving scene with dialogue. It's Max Von Sydow and he's looking down at something.We cut to Daisy Ridley. "What is it?" Max looks concerned but pulls a smile "What trouble have you gotten into today?" Daisy looks at him for a second and then we hear explosions in the distance.

The disembodied voice again. "Luminous b...beings."

Serkis' voice now rumbles and commands the silence. "I...have waited for a very long time...but they have all been waiting longer"

A hood and an ignition of a lightsaber illuminating a cave.

"For you."
